Early days in Carver County, Minnesota, encompassing the present and/or past communities of Benton Village, Carver, Chanhassen (part), Chaska, Cologne, Dahlgren, Hamburg, Hancock, Helvetia, Lakektown, Mayer, Minneapolis, Minnetrista, Monticello, New Germany, Norwood, Norwood Young America, NYA, St. Clair, St. Lawrence (part), San Francisco, Victoria, Waconia, Watertown, Young America Lake are recalled through a mixture of colorful tales and factual data in this spiral bound booklet reprinted from a rare 1882 book: History of the Minnesota Valley, by the Rev. Edward D. Neill. (Note: All of the towns may not be mentioned in the booklet.)

The booklet is printed one-sided on 60# paper with the print enlarged for easier reading. A vinyl sheet has been added to protect the front cover
