Balboa Island will debut the first annual Balboa Island Wine Walk on Saturday, May 30th from 3:00pm - 7:00pm!

THE EVENT:
Locals & visitors alike will sip fine wine, taste scrumptious cuisine, and enjoy shopping at Marine Avenue's enticing mix of locally owned boutiques, exclusive galleries, and one-of-a-kind specialty shops. Attendees will receive a commemorative wine glass with a map to all participating venues to sample world-class wine at 15+ venues. As guests stroll & shop they will be surrounded with wine country ambiance, live entertainment, delicious cuisine, and other fun event activities.

The Balboa Island Wine Walk is a new bi annual wine and culinary local event taking place in the spring and fall that is fun and supports the community. Enjoy fine wines fine from world-class to small local boutique wineries poured in various designated wine bar tasting locations on Marine Avenue. A portion of the Balboa Island Wine Walk event proceeds benefit the Balboa Island Merchant's Association - Balboa Island Marketing Inc. (BIMI).

Marine Avenue shops and restaurants are open to the general public of all ages during the wine walk and those under 21 may attend the tasting areas and sample cuisine. You must be 21 to purchase wine tasting tickets. Tasting areas are unrestricted, but, wine is not permitted outside of designated areas. The tasting is available only to those with tickets, official wine glass and valid event bracelets.

Pre-sale tickets are $40 and $45 on the day of the event.
A limited number of exclusive VIP tickets will be available at $75.

    Barolo by the Sea sounds great--4* on Yelp and smack dab in the middle of Marine Ave. It'll be fun to have a reason to go to Balboa outside of boat parades!

    Having attended the Great Wine Festival in Irvine I need to attend Balboa Island so that I may properly compare and contrast in case you request an essay.  In regards to your specific instructions, the vendor I am most interested in is Yellow Dog Pancakes.  I LOVE pancakes!  I LOVE maple syrup... oh wait, I read that wrong.  It's Yellow Dog Pilates?  Oh, OK... do those taste good?  I wanna try!!

    I went to the Wine walk and they were not prepared.  It took  30 minutes to get your ticket waiting in line.  Plus every wine station had 15-20 wait for a tiny little sip, you could not drink your tiny little sip on Marnie Ave and walk because it is again the law.
    They ran out of wine.  I still had 5 tickets left! I am just glad I did not buy the more expensive ticket or I would really be bummed. I will pass in the fall and take my money and buy a full glass of wine at the restaurants with seating  with a meal for 1/2 the price.
