Le Parfum Eau de Parfum Intense by Elie Saab is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. Le Parfum Eau de Parfum Intense was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian. Top note is Orange Blossom; middle notes are Honey, Ylang-Ylang and Rose; base notes are Amber and Patchouli.

The scents of orange blossom and rose honey are what make the signature of the Elie Saab perfume line. Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian created this collection so that every part of it (every version of the perfume) depicts a period of daylight. The debut, Elie Saab Le Parfum from 2011, reflects the sparkling light of midday. The soft light of early morning is captured by the Eau de Toilette edition from 2012, while the magic moment of dusk is introduced with the new version Le Parfum Eau de Parfum Intense coming out in Fall 2013.

"As the sun slips below the horizon, the senses become inflamed. Ultra-sensual, she steps forth in a shimmering sheath dress. The embodiment of ultimate femininity. A regal bearing, a confident stride… She knows that she will not be easily forgotten. And her fragrance reflects her persona, mysterious and enchanting. With her every move, she leaves behind floral and Amber wisps of the Eau de Parfum Intense. An unforgettable trail, a reminiscence of her aura."

Le Parfum Eau de Parfum Intense fragrance is announced as ultra sensual and feminine. Its oriental-floral composition opens with bright orange blossom accord. The heart includes intoxicating and opulent flower of ylang-ylang mixed with rose honey. The base consists of patchouli and amber accord.

The fragrance is available in bottles of 30, 50 and 90 ml.

The Scentimentalist

Ylang is a genius touch in this composition. Along with honey, amber and rose, also dialed-down orange blossom, this potion is lady like, sultry and romantic. Great for evening wear and special occasions. Far superior to the Le Parfum IMHO.

Good grace! This is EPIC!

Oh boy, this is a masterfully balanced honey/orange blossom/ylang ylang to die for!!!
It is heady but in such a sensual, sexy way that catches any imagination. Seductive, intriguing, spell bounding! Perfect for a confident woman at ease with her sexuality, I'd say 30 something up - this won't speak the same enchant to younger gals, I can tell. Of course there will be exceptions but it really best suits more mature women.

It is rich and yet rounded, soft and yet captivating. Smooth as only velvet can be. Wow, just wow. Definitely a winter and evening number.

A love for me, will cherish my 10ml as one spray is enough to envelope me whole for hours.

Elie Saab Le Parfume Intense
This is a strong and sweet honey floral.
I expected it to be darker and more serious, but to my nose it is a sweet blooming flower with honey. It reminds me of LolitaLand. Youthful and soft, this perfume reminds me of a picnic by the lake in spring. Young ladies are wearing 1970s gingham dresses, and their hair is pulled up into a style with ringlets cascading down to their shoulders. There are cakes, and the sweet honey scent attracts the bees.
I don't find this a mature scent ( I'm 53), but I can see how a young woman might find this old school or strong in the opening. However, I find that this scent dries down rather soft and doesn't project. I can sleep with this on and in the morning it is gone.
I do really like it (for me a successful blind buy), but im not sure if it was worth the +$100 I paid for a full bottle.
I guess I need to organize some picnics by the lake to get my use out of it lol!

I bought this as I really love the OG. Picked a full bottle up from 2015 on eBay for a very good price and am not disappointed. It’s a richer, more rounded and creamy version of the OG, and while not “intense”, as in stronger, it’s more intense in the notes. Very beautiful and snuggly, it sits close to my skin and is not a beast on longevity. The OG is also the same on my scent gobbling skin. But I don’t care, I just spray more often if I like it. Very happy with this blind buy 😍

Praised and it is a good one for sure. Just too mature for my taste. I prefer the original one. Sold my bottle.

Rana.Walid

The opening is spicy and sharp just like the original Elie Saab Le Parfum, but gets creamier as it dries down, office friendly if you do not overspray it. You will not like this if you do not like the original Le Parfum so do not blind buy if you are not familiar with the DNA of this line. Unfortunately I do not get high performance with this one, 3-4 hours longevity and the silage is not impressive. I feel it’s more of a mature intimate scent, my review is based on a one spray test in cold weather, I am sure it performs better if heavily sprayed.

SailorV

To me, this is the better Le Parfum. What a shame that it got discontinued. The original is a beautiful scent, but turns too sharp on my skin. The Intense is similar, but warmer, and has just a pinch of pleasant sharpness to cut through all the sweet and heavy notes.

Like the original, the main note in this is a very bubblegummy orange blossom. It's not light and airy, it's ripe and sweet, but doesn't cross the line to decaying. Patchouli acts as a contrasting note here, it's a clean and fresh patch that comes across a little sharp and even cold. But the base is all warm, full of delicious rose honey and amber. I don't always like honey notes in perfume, but this is a good one. It really smells like rose honey, it's hard to pinpoint where the rose begins and the honey ends.

This is a gorgeous, multilayered scent experience. It has that classic floriental "real perfume" vibe without feeling stuffy or dated. Many orange blossom fragrances only bloom on warm days in my opinion, but this is opulent enough for nighttime wear and the colder seasons.

PlanetGrl

A beautiful beast of a fragrance, almost too intense. Even though it’s pretty, the yellow florals read a bit matronly to my nose, and I’m on the fence about selling it. I find the original absolutely lovely though.

Heliga

This is much more intense, warm and sweet than the original Le Parfum. The honey is very intensely sugary, it reminds me of the taste of a spoonful of acacia honey all over your tongue. Even though it reminds me of food, the sweetness isn't like a young gourmand. If anything I would describe it as a distinctly mature kind of sweetness, bordering on grande dame-ish (possibly the influence of orange blossom, there is a hint of that soapiness), especially in the opening. Sillage starts out as enormous but it ends up sitting closer to the skin.

Le Parfum Intense layers really well with other less sweet honey scents like Place Vendome (I like PV okay but like the mix even more than either on its own) or Pure Honey.

I really like both the original and the intense for different reasons. The original is more easily wearable around other people, it is undeniably pleasant but a little bit bland and inoffensive. The intense is much more of a knockout and I can understand why some might find it overbearing but I really enjoy wearing it. I find it really cozy, perfect scent to wear to sleep or curled up under a blanket to read book. It is definitely a cool weather scent.

princesslopez4890

This is such a beautiful underated orange blossom, I don’t hear too many people talking about it. It’s not that love don’t be shy/ la vie est belle, sweet orange blossom but it does have some sort of sweetness in its own way. I also get the rose in this. It lasts all day I went to work mind you I work at night and I over spray my body as well as my clothes, I ran errands after and I could still smell it 12hrs later. Not clowning, inoffensive in my opinion. I prefer this to the original which I had as well but it just didn’t do it for me so when I ran out I purchased this. I will continue to purchase this as long as I can get my hands on it! I believe it may be discontinued but you can still find it on fragrancenet.com which is where I got mine a 3oz for $80 so not bad, if you’re into orange blossom give it a try. I enjoy orange blossoms in some fragrances and I ve been trying to find something similar to love don’t be shy but I don’t want to smell like everyone so for now I’m sticking with this.

yankihan.1

A very warm, slightly spicy and sweet scent. It is definitely according to me the best buy from Elie Saab as I don't see (maybe I am wrong) other parfume of Francis Kurkdjian. This is definitely a good catch as you can check how expensive Francis Kurkdjian normally is. Wonder blend of Honey with Patchouli. I love much more the "INTENSE" version as it is simply the same feeling but intensified.

christinebyh

I recently got my hands on a batch from Jan 2015, and I absolutely get the hype. This is the most feminine, classy, and mature (not dated) scent I've smelled in a long time. The opening is orange blossom and honey dominant, and the dry down is a deep blend of ylang ylang, amber, and patchouli. It kind of smells like walking into a really expensive spa - and that feeling stays from the opening till the end. I can't explain how sophisticated this smells compared to everything else in the designer realm these days.

I find that FK has a very unique signature style when it comes to adding gourmand notes to floral perfumes. Here, he's done it with honey, orange blossom, and ylang ylang. I also detect some aldehydes that boost the floral notes, and I think this can come across as too "mature" to the modern nose.

If you do not like patchouli and ylang ylang, you will NOT like this perfume. Longevity and projection of my old batch from 2015 are amazing.

prudunce

I'm a little confused about this fragrance. The opening notes have something that makes my throat feel slightly itchy. There's some kind of incense-like screechiness to it but I absolutely love the dry down, which is warm, sweet and inviting. I have the JPG Classic Essence and the orange blossom in that is more rounded and inoffensive (so I know I'm not allergic to orange blossom), but I don't understand what's in this that makes the opening notes in this so screechy. Can someone help me identify it?

Xtina19

The honey, the orange blossom, the ylang-ylang, the rose, the amber, the patchouli….did I say the honey?! So intoxicating…reminds me a bit of Poeme from Lancôme, back in the days before they ruined it.
I remember back in 2013 when this was launched I couldn’t decide between Le Parfum Intense and Jean Paul Gaultier’s Classique Intense because they are so similar. I went for this one first but I ended up getting both of them after all.
I never cared much about the original Le Parfum EDP , it’s ok but I always thought is missing something, so when Intense version came out I knew this was just the right one. Even if the DNA is still there, it’s definitely not an intense stronger version of the original, it’s different, has more character, more body. Replacing the jasmine with ylang-ylang was a good move.
In my opinion this is the only flanker they should’ve kept and get rid of all those new ones that smell the same, generic and meh

pho_fin

This is my favourite perfume of all time. I neglected to buy a backup bottle before it was discontinued and it's genuinely my biggest regret. Seriously - if anyone doesn't want theirs, I'll take it off their hands in a heartbeat.

This. Is well done for the crowd who can handle mainly orange blossom fields...like thousands followed by a lovely classy feminine powdery..in a lovely way, however this perfume made me realize im allergic or my sinus tract to a perfume that is an orange blossom atmoc bomb!&gave me such a bad headache i had to take ibuprofen,no thers do this to me,btw,i waited 6 hours of a migrane to say its more lovely after 6hours..lasts great in projection andd longevity, not sweet from honey just mainly orange blossom with a lovely powder...however have to sell my fb, orange blossom i can handle in other perfumes but not when its a burning extremist orangle blossom&if you love orange blossom this for you...cant stand it as main note tho regaurdless due to my taste and chemistry.

djnialf

Truly timeless and classy scent. Sweet and enticing at first, elegant after it's dry. Great longevity. 10/10

E.S. Intense beats the others as a golden sword.

I haven't dared to say anything about it in these 4 years,
because a) it's so fine & of high class, b) hard to describe,
c) I'm not an expert of any kind with perfumes
d) my language is not english.

There was a fresh part, specially when spray, that reminded
of Coco Edt, but wasn't that unisex, rough nor cold, but classy, elegant, soft, smooth.
The other part is the sweet, honey-kind delicious and pretty orange flower.

I sense that the elegant fresh part has changed in 4 years a bit. It's not quite that
fresh anymore, but 1 grade towards malty, maybe. :) Or, on its slightly malty route,
it went a grade sweeter.
Someone said "... almost vintage perfumey smell ...". I'm not sure if she
meant the same thing. Aging of the perfume ...

I took again the perfume from the drawer, and realised that it hasn't changed
as much as I thought. It still beats most perfumes.

I fail in my speech, if cannot get a hold of the golden sword.
I love this perfume.

amandavolpe

This is a honey bomb and it lasts forever, so as far as longevity goes it is worth the money.

But it does lack a certain edge and its opening feels too synthetic, so it's not a favorite. I won't go out of my way to get a full bottle.

LaContessina

Wonderful sweet orange blossom - jasmine- honey fragrance.
Next of kin to APOM (same creator!) for its honeyed and jasmine notes.
Less sweet than Poeme, but in the same family.
A huge floriental, because the white flowers and the sweet, round rose and ylang are accompanied by a mix of creamy cedar on an ambery base in the drydown.
It blooms in spring summer temperatures.
It's a beast mode frag, not appropriate for office hours. Superb longevity.
Absolutely wonderful, feminine.
Unfortunately both this and APOM have been discontinued.

splendorfalls

Golden! This is a warm sweet drip of honey with an ever present orange blossom note. Dries down to a warm orange patchouli. Lighter, orangier version of Maison Soir.

Enchanted77

This is stout!!! I purchased the original Le Parfum and found it to be gorgeous. So, when I found Le Parfum Intense, I didn’t hesitate to purchase it. I was immediately thrown off because it smells quite different from the original. Upon the initial spray, it can be a bit overwhelming with a very sharp, intense, almost vintage perfumey smell. Then as the beginning SLOWLY fades, the honey & ylang ylang bomb explodes melting into an amber blanket that’s oh so rich. Be cautious with this one because you only need a couple of sprays. This one should be reserved for beast fragrance lovers like myself and really shouldn’t be purchased without testing first because I can see Le Parfum Intense triggering either love or hate feelings. I’d be surprised if there’s anyone who feels indifferent to it or feel that it’s just Ok.

adelaidesandrina

this smells very fruity to me, not floral.. where did that come from? smells like grape juice or like those sugary packed bottled orange berry juice. maybe candy too!
the sugary, sweet tone is from the honey 🍯 amazing.
i did smell a faint jasmine in the opening for a few secs. then it turned into this heavy fruity scent like i mentioned 🙄 there’s like liquor note to it too i think.. maybe? maybe not lol
this smells nothing like the og elie saab le parfum. i love the le parfum, but doesn’t last long enough on me. so i got the intense, hoping that it’s maybe a stronger version of it. but im a pretty dissapointed.. nothing like what i had in mind. it’s like a whole different composition.

i’ll give it an 7/10. not a fan

Libran Goddess

This was the honey bomb I wanted from JPG scandal this has that intense sweet honey where with scandal it felt warmer and more mellow.

Huda Abdelfattah

Elie saab le parfum intense

OMG I love this. It had me at "Hello".

I love the original as well, but I slightly prefer the intense. I guess this intense version is what I expected from the original.

The Intense is the ultimate orange blossom. Not too citrusy, not too sweet, very feminine, complex and beautiful. To me, it's perfect.
It's discontinued, so no, don't buy those rare bottles you find online... Leave them to me! :D

merb

Le Parfum is better for sure. Intense is meeh.

Jenna_S

I have a recently bought full 30ml bottle. DM me if you want to swap or buy.
Unfortunately this is not for me. Will stick with the original Le Parfum.

writekatewrite

Maybe it's just me, but it smells to me like what you'd get if you crossed a Juicy Couture flanker with orange blossom. That's not a criticism - I like both of those things. Very sweet with a lovely orange blossom note.

Hanahees

I have Le parfum and Le parfum in white from E.S so far ..
As I was absolutely in love with your original version of this perfume I decided to go ahead and get the intense version. I am a fan of Orange Blossom and I had read that the Orange Blossom was stronger in the intense version.

I am really disappointed by this flanker I didn’t expect that type of smell and I thought it was very old is smelling and vintage compared to the original... maybe that has to do with the rose or maybe the Amber ?

Yes it is an Intense version of the original and I thought I would like that fact. But it actually makes it lose its fresh and vibrant side ... the original is sparkly this intense is heavy and overwhelming... the sparkles and fluffiness I have in the original are completely smothered in this one...
There is a sirup effect like licorice that smothers everything on its way and in my opinion prevents the originality of the perfume to truly express...

At the end I smell an older sirup version of Le parfum...

I am disappointed

5/10 (the 5 are for the part that smells like the original perfume ...)

Mizmalibu

This smells exactly how I had hoped the original Le Parfum would smell...It is beautifully feminine, not too sweet, not as ‘in your face’ as Girl of Now, but with a distinctive honeyed orange flower note. The original Le Parfum smells a bit too animalic (or more precisely: like old man’s sweat) on me, but thankfully I don’t get that with the Intense. Unfortunately it’s very hard to find but I managed to get a big bottle which I will keep in my wine cellar

CRiche

I don’t get much from the original Elie Saab but the Intense is divine🥰. It leaves the most amazing scent trail and it’s a compliment getter. I’ve just purchased a back up bottle because I heard it’s discontinued. I may buy a back up for my back up. Why do the best scents ALWAYS get discontinued? Is it the cost of making these beast mode scents?

lechickpea

This is for the woman who likes sweet fragrances but doesn't want to smell the least bit juvenile. On the contrary - this smells like a mature, glamorous woman.

This is a truly opulent honeyed orange blossom fragrance. I can just imagine a field of white flowers dripping with honey, being warmed by the morning sunshine. Heavenly.

That being said, I sometimes pick up a dated, vintage quality in this scent I'm not sure about. Other days I don't get that as much, and it's exquisite.

EDIT: Who am I kidding, this smells divine. LOVE!

Quixotic Blue

This is my favorite out of the three in the Elie Saab collection: “Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian created this collection so that every part of it (every version of the perfume) depicts a period of daylight. The debut, Elie Saab Le Parfum from 2011, reflects the sparkling light of midday. The soft light of early morning is captured by the Eau de Toilette edition from 2012, while the magic moment of dusk is introduced with Le Parfum Eau de Parfum Intense.”

I hunted down this collection because I wanted orange blossom that wasn’t too sparkling citrusy. The Le Parfume was very nice so I picked up the EDT on a blind buy, but it was too sweet and cloying for me. I found a trio sample with this EDP Intense so picked it up to try. It is so smooth and creamy, not too much orange blossom or honey, and the patchouli and amber give it a quiet dignity. It exudes warmth and a little sultry dry down. Don’t understand why it was discontinued. Now I have to find an affordable FSB because I love this!

Sillage is low to moderate on me, longevity is moderate.

If you want to try Elie Saab, try this EDP Intense first. It’s the best of the bunch.

Vanillastorm40

God, this perfume is GORGEOUS!!! I'm wearing it today n already 2 people have commented About how great this smells. I have not one thing I'd change about this. Usually, I say maybe it could have a lil more of this or a lil less of that but this one? It's perfect the way it is. I love deep dense Orientals n it's hard in summer weather to wear those types of scents (I do anyway, I don't care, if you don't like it, move outta my projection zone, lol). I bet this perfume will smell even better in warm weather.

Nilodlien

I have this and the original. I love them both. I find myself reaching for them both equally often. I have no idea why they were discontinued; these are incredible. Extremely well-balanced. Just beautiful. If I didn’t have olfactory ADD, this would be my signature scent.

Naamiflower

Elie Saab perfumes smell like the beauty of the Middle East. He perfectly captures the warmth, and the magnificent grandeur of our luxurious fragrances.

Despite being different in scent, both the original and Intense’s charm unfold after settling down on the skin for a moment. At least for me. Allow it to set into your skin before judging.

Intense starts out being syrupy, feverishly sweet. Almost too sweet...Then, however, it turns into something so dreamy and divine. Still sweet, but in a way that’s addictive. It has a twist that makes it different from the typical modern day sweet fragrances. It’s exotic, romantic, striking, elegant and classy.
Feminine in every way.
For most of it’s wear, I experience hot honey accompanied with fresh, citrusy orange blossom. The rose adds a soft spiciness, and if you know that specific Middle Eastern rose scent then you know what I’m talking about. The ylang ylang, while not showing up strongly due to the intensity of the other notes, does add a seemly softness. It ends with that sticky amber that fits in so wonderfully, while all is given a final edge with strong patchouli.

I didn’t expect this to be honest; the notes lead me to think it would smell different but it was something I was unknowingly looking for. It may be an acquired taste for some, but I believe it’s beautiful.

I also reviewed the original Le Parfum if anyone is interested!

Vanillastorm40

I knew I'd love this so without smelling it, I bought it off eBay. It's all I knew it'd be. Very sweet which I love but if u don't like sweet, this isn't the one for you.

kelleybelle

This is a simple and vibrant beauty. It reminds me very much of those little bottles of orange blossom perfume you got as a tourist in Florida, sweet and sunny. Some might find it syrupy but it's a really well-done syrupy. So gorgeous, it would smell amazing on a cold, sunny winter day that you'd want to eat it. It would smell that delicious. Stellar drydown. Winner.

roxyjuliet

I prefer this version to the original. The orange blossom is richer and more honeyed. The woodiness in the base is toned way down with more patchouli. Nice longevity. Happy.

Mimi Jay

I love it sooooooo much
Lasts for days
Perfect for a date night
Leaves a trace
So feminine and unique
Worth its price
Gets u compliments (alooooot)
Show stopper, neck turner

ladypicky

What a beautiful creation.

This perfume screams Elegance.

On my skin is a rounded a bit soapy ,clean YlangYlang and a sprakly soft orange blossom that is wrapped in a cloud of Amber.

Great everyday scent, not offesnsive but yet noticable.

Reminds me a bit of Libre YSL ,but I prefer this one much better.

Lasts 3hours on my skin ,a day on the clothes and mild projection.

I'd say this is a Mum's perfume, cosy, pleasant and connected to good memories.

The orange blossom is the shining star in this fragrance. It really works well here. They've blended it so beautifully with the other notes and yet, somehow, the orange blossom remains the jewel in the crown.

The scent has a classic feel thanks to the orange blossom, rose and amber. A modern edge thanks to the honey which also gives it a touch of sweetness (I'd call it a "kiss" of honey.) A little playfulness with the patchouli and ylang-ylang. One side of this triangle does not outshine the other and that's exactly why I love this so much. It has composure.

This could have been a sloppy mess if the orange blossom made this perfume feel claustrophobic or if the honey made it cloying from being too sweet or if the patchouli was headache inducing. I've certainly had issues with these notes in other scents which is why I appreciate this one that much more.

I love the original but I think I like this more(?)...the dry down especially. I think I prefer the opening of the original...who knows. It’s basically a toss up. Both are really good staples to have in your fragrance wardrobe. I don’t find this too heavy or sweet to wear in summer, in fact, I think it performs better in the heat.
In a nutshell, the original is fresh and slightly soapy and sparkling and intense is smoother, warmer and ambery. I don’t think the vanilla and amber is overdone in the intense. They are there but not overwhelming. The floral notes are more prominent in the original. The intense also lasts longer on my skin than the original. Either way, you can’t go wrong. Is it the most original fragrance? No. However, it smells great and is a well blended, high quality composition.
Do you need both? Probably not. I’m glad I do because I’m a sucker for orange blossom. If you want floral-fresh got with the original. If you want floral-sweet, go with the intense.

Scentflower

Having smelled neither the original or intense, after reading and watching reviews i decided on getting the intense. I've been into heavier fragrances lately and wanted something with some uniqueness and depth. After my first spray I didn't know if I was going to keep this perfume. I thought it be sweeter with having honey in it. After my 2nd spray I liked it more and 3rd spray I was in love. This perfume is complex and tricky to describe. I definitely get the orange blossom, a cinnamon note and then a sweetness. It's a sweetness that's not tooth ache but it leaves a layer of depth. The ylang ylang in here helps it to flow and be smooth. I definitely can see how this could almost be unisex because it has that spicy note. It's not overly floral that would lead to think its purely feminine. This takes a couple sprays to love I think. It has really grown on me and is a unique perfume in my collection.

Edit: this perfume is my top 3 favorite fragrances. I need a backup bottle ASAP! Love this perfume

8/10- Affordable Psychedelique?!

I love this fragrance right off the bat. It is one of the gem unhyped fragrances. A well-rounded scent and I'd say it's pretty unisex enough for a man to wear this. I find close similarities to Jovoy Psychedelique with the Patchouli/ Ambery Vanilla combo. Neroli and Ylang Ylang gives freshness that I love to wear this even on a fairly warm morning.

The scent category is similar to BR540, similar sweetness from the honey.

DrRosie

The intense version is much better than the original EDP. The intense version is richer and much deeper. The extra honey and orange blossom make it super sexy and gorgeous. A mature person who does not care about other people's opinion of her/him can wear this fragrance and will receive tons of compliments regardless if he/she cares - lol. Enjoy this fragrance while it last!
I definitely need a back-up bottle of this beauty. This is how beautiful people are supposed to smell.

celia46

This will be my next birthday present in April.

I think it will be perfect, because here in Uruguay it will be autumn and this perfume fits perfectly with the season.

The perfume is sweet and creamy, has warmth and sunny qualities.

perfumeaddiction

This is incredibly beautiful. I can't even tell you what a surprise this is. I did not enjoy the original Elie but this is a different animal. She's rich, gently sweetened in a more mature non teeny bopper way. The lovely rich warm honey is present and is what I smell first followed by the beautiful orange blossom (not orange smell but the smell of blossoming orange tree's) and the amber. The patchouli is very mild if not almost undetectable to my nose. An absolute beauty. The silage and lasting power are quite intense hence the name!

I picture a gorgeous woman in her 30's taking a stroll through a park on an unusually warm September day. The leaves are changing slightly, the crickets are still present and the wind is blowing though her long brown hair. She has not a care in the world.

This review is really for both this and the original Elie Saab, as I find them really similar, but I'm reviewing this one because this is the one I still have a mini of. Back when this first came out and there weren't too many orange blossom soliflores on the market, I thought this was the bee's knees. It was like nothing I had ever smelled before and it just blew me away. It became sort of the go-to orange blossom perfume recommendation at the time, with so many people saying it was the best you could get (at least that was readily and easily available). Fast forward to today, and I no longer feel that is relevant. I thought I would still love this when I revisited it, but it was so meh, not nearly as natural and realistic as I remembered and the honey was now cloying, syrupy, and disturbing. I have the same bottle still, so it's not an issue of reform. The problem, I realized, is that since this line came out so have SO many other quality orange blossom soliflores. Better ones, more interesting ones, you name it. Elie Saab helped start the trend, so props for that, but I just no longer feel that this line of perfumes are the best orange blossom frags or even close. Just like how Jicky was (I think) the vanilla that started it all but I haven't ever heard anyone say it's still the BEST vanilla. My main issue is just that it's so syrupy sweet, both the blossom itself and the honey. I prefer fresher or darker/spicier/animalic orange blossom, anything but syrupy, and I don't much like honey in concentrations like this (though if you do love honey, there are def better honey scents to try now too). This didn't really bother me back then simply because I didn't have much to compare it to, and perhaps because I was younger too. I guess you could say I'm spoiled when it comes to orange blossom now, lol. Funny how your perceptions of a fragrance can change with exposure to more takes on the same theme. Goes to show that some scents really only stun us because they're unfamiliar.

Annabear

Creamy, orange blossom and honey, imagine a more mature or elegant Poeme (and I love Poeme) that’s been toned down a notch.
I first tried this in summer and felt what I thought might be the patchouli overwhelm the florals, but on a cool autumn day, it’s a dream.
Sillage and longevity are pretty good, I sprayed it at 7.30 am on my way to work, and collected my husband at 3.30 pm this afternoon. As soon as he got in the car, he commented on how lovely the fragrance is.
It’s a love from me!

Rosemary14

This fragrance is much more patchouli, honey, amber, and cedar than the EDP. It is intense in that it’s much more heavy and resinous. It’s spicy and I think I do get the cinnamon which is amping up the patchouli. The patchouli is really the star and overrides the florals a bit much. The honey is also sort of thick in this one. If you love patchouli and honey you may really love this. Honestly there’s so much patchouli. My best friend is a patchouli lover and I think of her when I smell this. Next time she’s over I think I’ll give this to her if she like’s it. Did I mention that this has a lot of patchouli? Lol :)

juraslauva

I've tried both - Le Parfum edp and Intense. I have to say I like the first one better. The Intense lacks the freshness and smoothness of jasmine that imho is a bridge between the notes of orange blossom, honey and patchouli. To me this one is a shaper and more mature scent I can imagine more on my mother than me, which is why I gave her my Intense bottle more than half full. And she like it, my mother is brought towards floral but more "bitter" or even spicier perfumes than me.
It was an impulse buy, I thought I will love it as I love Le Parfum edp but I was wrong.

Perfumedsecrets

I've seen a slightly different list of notes for this with mandarin blossom instead of orange blossom, gardenia, ylang ylang, honey rose, patchouli, amber, vanilla, and cinnamon. After reading many reviews and testing it I think this is a more accurate list of notes. This was released in the fall of 2013 and it fits with the season and time of day it represents (dusk). There are some similarities with the original Le Parfum, but it's definitely different. You can tell that by the color of the liquid. A very warm and radiant floral that can hold up in the cooler months, but this can be worn year round as a night fragrance.

AllHalliwellsEve

Gorgeous fragrance! Does anyone else get JPG Classique EDT vibes from this?

Venusta

Very beautiful.

With the heavy honey and orange blossom I was genuinely surprised that it works wonderfully well in warmer temperatures. The honey becomes boozy, creamy and deliciously laced with sparkling orange blossom.

I "love" this scent in warm weather and only "like" it in colder weather. In the colder temperatures it's less syrupy and more floral/amber to my nose. Smells "colder" to me and definitely doesn't gather as many compliments as in lightly warmer weather.

One of my all time favorites! Lasts a solid 7 hours on skin. If your chemistry likes honey then definitely try this in warmer weather ❤

Shwets

The intense version is so much more dense and honeyed.
Im not normally drawn to florals but this has an oriental feel from the amber and i remember really liking this on first sniff when it was released.

It doesnt list jasmine and perhaps thats why im enjoying this one more. The original (le parfum) one has jasmine and strangely gives me a headache and yet i'm fine with the le parfum intense!

What i like about this fragrance is that when it dries down there is no vanilla note and overall it smells so natural. I also love the syrupyness in this perfume yet it isnt very sweet.

If you like fragrances such as Poeme and JPG Classique EDT then its worth smelling this.

annxyz

Extremely sweet , and hard to detect anything but “honey” . I personally do not care for a perfume that smells so syrupy .

alienjanna

I guess that that perfume’s production is stopped. I'm really disappointed. So i will try the orginal version.

AHeartLikeMine

At first, I thought this would just be a stronger version of Le Parfum. However, like other reviewers, I suspect that this contains a bit of patchouli that renders it both powerful and medicinal-smelling. It was like someone had added a tiny dab of Bengay to a concentrated, less sweet and complex version of Le Parfum. I think the part that turned me off of this in favor of the original is that lack of complexity. It is like half of the notes were removed and the base notes were turned up to 10. If you like your perfumes strong and straightforward with patchouli, you'll probably be a fan of Intense. I'll stick with the original Le Parfum.

violetbelle

Don't you love when you find what you didn't know you were looking for? To me, Le Parfum Intense is a masterpiece. Distinctive, stunning, somehow ethereal. Sumptuous, exquisitely spicy (like cinnamon) vanilla-honey doused petals. This smells just like the orange evening sun shimmering through the trees. Her beauty dazzles, she's warm and enticing, a sweet cloud demurely hinting that she can even be fun.

Anamandy

While wearing this the other day a friend asked me if I had a backache or something. When I asked her why she thought that she said because she smelled Ben-gay or some other topical analgesic coming off me and thought I had hurt myself. I was wearing this fragrance at the time. After wearing it the rest of the day I came to the conclusion that she was right; this fragrance does have a Ben-gay vibe going on. I don’t know where it is coming from because the notes don’t list spice, but I suspect that patchouli is the culprit here. Patchouli can have a medicinal minty smell depending on the variety used. No other notes in this fragrance, other than the patchouli listed in the notes, would give that mintiness. That's the only thing I can think of as the reason for this. Overall, while it doesn’t smell exactly like Ben-gay per se, it does have a mentholated, sinus clearing quality reminiscent of the back pain medicine. I’m not sure if I like this fragrance as much as I first did if people around me are equating this scent with a medicine.

Sherine777

This has a narcotic quality to it. I just want to keep spraying :)

Call me crazy, but I don't find it sweet, Nuit Noor is sweeter than this! and it's not that I am used to sweet perfumes, quite the opposite, I really don't like them and was hesitant to get this one. But it seems that I perceive honey as deep rich warmth rather than sweetness, I know that might change in the summer.

But for now, I LOVE it!

It's my first perfume of this genre and I do feel that Francis Kurkdjian has truly created another masterpiece.
Did not expect to like it that much. Better get me a back up bottle, don't think mine will last long..

lularoelauriehicks

Oh wow! This is gorgeous! It's sweet but not in a gourmand way. It's honey drenched orange blossom warming in the sun. There's depth and and warmth and it makes me feel energized at the same time.it's never too heavy. It's somehow familiar like something I've always loved even though I'm wearing it for the first time today.

YoshikuniAkino

I bought this out of curiosity over Elie Saab house after I tried Elie Saab L'eau Couture. With such impression I got from L'eau Couture, at first, I found this perfume pretty normal. It's nice but not as impressive. Then I found myself keep reaching for it and realized that I did enjoy it. I thought it's a bit similar to L'eau Couture, but when I sniffed them again, I suppose Intense is actually less spicy and more benign. If I repurchase, Intense turns out likely to be the choice, or I would like to try other Elie Saab perfumes.

Mbrock

This is what I was expecting from the original. That was nice but nothing more. This is beautiful. It does remind me of JPG classique but no anise & more honey in this. Just reminds me of it not so close that I wouldnt own both. I do own both. Its pretty much all orange blossom & honey. I dont get a lot of amber but im not missing it. I dont get any patchouli. I think this is def on the going to rebuy list when Im done with it.

Identitytaken

Oh this is the most beautiful orange blossom honey perfume! Reminds me a little of Classique essence but without the booziness of it. This is creamy and sensual and I enjoy every phase of this lovely fragrance.

elaine ong

Thanks, FireflySF, noted and appreciate your opinion.

kandykat

This perfume is very soft and creamy. The scent of honey and roses is very apparent, and only a bit of orange blossom. The base on my skin is just honey and rose. It is blended beautifully and I think this would be great to layer with other perfumes that share similar notes or to add notes that would complement.

Edit: This got too sweet for me and I couldn't handle that anymore. Sickeningly sweet.

elaine ong

Help. I'm getting my mum a fragrance for her birthday next February and am choosing between Elie Saab Le Parfum Intense, Elie Saab Le Parfum, Van Cleef by Van Cleef and Arpels and Modern Muse Nuit by Estee Lauder. I'm asking because i'm basing my decision solely on reviews as where I am, I'm unable to test these scents. If anyone has any preference among these frags, kindly advise. Mum is in her late sixties. Thanks, Fragranticans!

Blushpinkpeonies

Absolutely beautiful. This has a bit of an old-school vibe. It's so different than the usual syrupy sweet/fruity offerings of today. Intense reminds me of a combination of two other perfumes: red cap Dolce & Gabbana and JPG Classique edp. Smells expensive and luxurious!

lnoskin

This is an extremely complex perfume. When I first sprayed it I hated it. I do not like strong florals or orientals and I completely ignored both of those because it said sweet, honey, and amber. I still dislike the perfume but I have to say the dry down smells great and the longevity is great. A couple hours after I sprayed it, I couldn't stop smelling my wrist. However, because of how much I hate the initial stages of this scent, I cannot wear it. I am 22 and believe this scent is too mature for me. I am happy I only got a mini. That being said, if anyone would like to swap a mini for a mini I would be more than happy to. Please PM me if interested!

fmharun23

My fave from Elie Saab and my signature scent. Its better than the original in terms of scent. This one is more Intense, deeper, darker, sweeter. I love the original too but this one is for special occassion. Projection and sillage so amazing. Last the whole day on my skin (up to 24 hours or more depends on your activities) and well blended with my natural body scent. Blind buy on 1st purchase and i already stock up for 2nd bottle when i use only 1/3 bottle of my 1st. I have both retail packaging items and tester packaging. Seems no difference between two except i saved more on tester. I didnt put too much attention on the notes.. i just smell the greatest sweet scent and orangy from the juice and it is so addictive. Be ware ladies.. you ll addicted to this one.

foli.1

I prefer the intense to the original. It's beautiful and less sharp to me. Whenever i ran out of the original i'll not repurchase it but i would definitely repurchase the intense version.

JaiTee

I agree with one of the reviewers below -- this DOES remind me of Lush's Karma scent when I put my nose to my wrist.

UnearthlyApothecary

Wow! This might be my holy grail of orange blossom! While it IS very strong, it’s not cloying at all or sickeningly sweet. Everything blends very well and just gives this classy elegant vibe that’s not at all synthetic, smells very high quality. There is that menthol quality that I am nuts about. That orange blossom, honey and patchouli combo is to die for and not many scents can pull it off without smelling tacky and cheap. This one is a MUST HAVE!

Helen123456789

This perfume is really one of my all time favorites. I wear it when i want to feel special, when i want to feel like a queen. Very elegant very different in a good way. The honey and orange blossom work like magic together. I didn expect to love honey this much. The longevity is 8 hours plus and sillage is moderate. Not cloying at all.

Edgell

This is now my number one scent. I love it so much. When I spray it, I smell my wrist all day in work and it lifts me. I've discovered I love honey and the honey in this is real.

This is going to sound like sacrilege to some of you, but I layer it with Coco. LPI gives that extra bit of sweetness to Coco and Coco gives that extra bit of longevity to LPI. Together they are mine, but don't tell anyone!

katrienlejeune

Amber and honey are the first notes I smell on Le Parfum Intense. It smells the way it looks in the bottle: deep, dense, warm and creamy. It is a warm-spicy kind of sweet, and while it does not remind me of Shalimar, it leans towards that family of scents for me, perhaps because of the very deep undertones this scent develops over time. It is definitely a grown-up perfume that will get you noticed. The sharpness from the first spray evaporates quickly, and the dark honey tones envelop you like a blanket. LPI smells "dense", and lingers in the air when you walk past. It will definitely turn heads and make people wonder what you are wearing. I wore it a lot when I was 21-22, a little while after it came out. It is not a spring scent, but it could work on an indian summer night when the air is warm but there is already a hint of cold to it.

marchen

I love this perfume, another staple in my Francis K collection. It is so understated but sophisticated, and puts a smile on my face. I love the almost vintage feel, like a soft powdery cloud. I personally get a lot of honey sweetened orange blossom, with occasional hints of dusty rose. Every time I notice my own fragrance through the day it makes me smile. A slight gripe is that I'd love a bit more longevity, but this is one that I'm pleased to reapply.

CathSvila

I don't know how, but Francis Kurkdjian manages to take simple, clean components and make it seem as though there is an added spicy depth to this fragrance. It's just so gorgeous.
I adore the Le Parfum for its orange blossom purity, while this Intense version brings such a sultry warmth...it's sublime. It's a heady, enveloping fragrance that wraps you up in wafts of orange blossom, honey, ylang ylang and somehow, a little extra magic that makes this fragrance pure sex. It's not merely a more-concentrated version of the original, it absolutely warrants its own bottle...trust me.

Soofiya

@Adrian_foroozandeh
It's so nice of you to mention my name in your review dear.I'm so glad that you liked it and I agree that poem and this one have a golden warm charm in common
I have already reviewed this beauty and after going through two 3 oz bottles(I rarely repurchase a perfume)I have nothing more to add except emphasizing even more on how amazing it is.a gorgeous floral aura of mostly orange flower and some ylangylang in a warm, sweet and rich base of amber and honey.so feminine, sensuous, hypnotic, glorious, voluptuous, sophisticated and elegant.
It's like liquid gold and suits a seductive queen, her beautiful face full of self-confidence and feminine-pride,her heart full of love and braveness, every word she says is full of wisdom and her acts and gestures are full of class and shows she's raised in a nobel, royal family.but she's also full of life and passion and ready to experience a new world.she's smart,a politician but also has a kind heart and a pure soul.her golden shine has blinded king's eyes.he doesn't see any other women except his queen.he loves her more than his throne and his lands, respects her and asks her advice in each and every decision he makes.everyone working in castle adore their petfect queen and would willingly give their life for her.
the charming scent which is always around her like a cloud of golden, magical sparkles is definitely Elie Saab le parfum intense

Adrian_foroozandeh

I was heard of this perfume a lot, but unfortunately I couldn't find it for test. Finally, in a journey to Turkey, I had the opportunity to test this in a perfume shop while the le parfum version was finished, So I tested the intense version and sniffed it on my wrist. Well, it reminds me of "Poeme" by lancome. Although Poeme is lot more complicated at first glance, due to the lots of notes which is in it, but in my book these two perfumes are identical. I love poeme and it was my mother's signature, so I fell in love with elie saab intense. On my skin, this perfume lasts about 7 to 8 hours which is acceptable and cillage is moderate to hight at the first hour after applying it to your skin. I recommend that you use this perfume in cold weather and it is better to use it in an open area. This is a good perfume and worth the money that you spend over it. It is somehow different and it is good for me who I prefer to use perfumes that are not so common to shine between my friends. LOL. I will test the le parfum version soon to see which one is better for me. As my friends said, in le parfum version there is lots of jasmine sambac and some people believe that it is too heavy and too floral that reminds them of religious places and they didn't like it. The best thing is to test it by yourself, because everyone's taste is different.

pinkpinion

Once in a while you test a fragrance and it seems as if the world pauses for a second. You have come across a new classic, one that you will love for many years to come and will pass on to next generations.

Ha, alright back to reality. Normally I am quite down to earth. Yet this scent makes me dreamy. It reminds me of the time I first smelled Chanel No 5. This is an elegant perfume that -in my opinion- is best suited as evening wear or for a special event. It is empowering and seductive and honestly, I think it has the potential to become a classic, as I can’t see this going out of style. Must have if you are looking for a new sophisticated, confidence boosting fragrance that is easily liked by all ages and sexes.

Ps. If they ever discontinue this, I will go to their headquarters and barricade the door until they decide otherwise.

raiza1990

Nice fragrance. Sensual and opulent. I get a very ambery orange blossom, with a light powdery and very subtle smoky undertone. I also get a bit of honey, but it is really shy on me.
Overall, it is an elegant and warm fragrance. Very feminine and powerful.
Good for both summer and winter.
Not my favorite from this line (i still prefer the original Le Parfum), but this one is very well done.

beatrix75

Beautiful feminine sweet creamy and gorgeous. I am in love with this version but not the elie Saab edp original witch is more stronger yasmin something, this is love and elegance

KikiLee

This reminds me soooo much of Karma Kream body lotion from Lush, they're practicallt scent twins!

yankihan

I love YSL Opium (not this new black version), Chanel Coco, and this. Love this oriental feel about the scent and it is very long lasting. But mind you, sometimes people will find it a bit strong, so maybe it is not a perfume you want to wear if you need to be in a lift with many people (closed space with crowds) but when you are at some distance with someone.

I love it!

Helene_

Okay, first of all sorry for any english mistakes, it's not my native language.

Elie Saab's Intense version of Le Parfum is totally class. A mixture of pure, virgin honey and intense orange blossom. At drydown, a beautiful rose appears and the blending between these three will take your senses to another life. It's addictive and sultry. It's so feminine that it drives men around me nuts- i never recieved so many compliments. And that's what i'm asking for- a high class perfume which screams femininity, womanhood and beauty and make the men turn their heads. There is something slightly melancholic in this fragrance- i can imagine a beautiful succesful man sitting in an empty bar at late night and the only thing he can think about is this angelic, beauteous and desirable woman who likes to wear classy tea-dresses, has voluptous natural pink lips and smells like a fountain of raw, pure expensive honey. A woman which he spent nights full of eroticism, lust and obsession- and is now far away from him.
I really couldn't ask for a better fragrance and i'm gonna wear this for sure at Christmas with a beautiful red dress.

missk

Le Parfum Intense is just as beautiful on the skin as the original Le Parfum from Elie Saab. I am yet to do a side by side comparison, but from what I've experienced so far, I am loving this flanker just as much as its predecessor.

Le Parfum Intense has slightly more amplified honey and orange blossom notes on my skin. The original fragrance was more day-time appropriate whereas Le Parfum Intense could easily be worn with elegant evening attire.

I was seriously considering wearing Le Parfum as my wedding day scent, however, I'm now leaning towards Le Parfum Intense as I want my fragrance to hold throughout the entire ceremony all the way through to the reception without needing to be re-applied. Le Parfum Intense has excellent performance and projection, enough to turn heads as you pass.

Supposedly this flanker has a deeper vanilla accord in the base as opposed to the original Le Parfum. I honestly don't smell much of a difference, but then again I haven't worn them both on the same day to compare. I intend to decide over the coming months which one of the two I will decide to purchase. On a somewhat strange note, it appears that the Le Parfum Intense is sold much cheaper on average to the popular Le Parfum despite both being Eau de Parfum. I do sincerely hope that this is not due to the Le Parfum Intense being a limited edition release that the discount stores are keen to clear out.

monbella23

This is syrupy seduction in a bottle. Wearing this I feel like I'm eating basbousa that's been soaked in orange flower water and rose water then drenched with the sweetest, thick orange honey and topped with pistachios or almonds. It's just after sunrise. I'm sitting in a backyard of a beautiful villa in a Beirut suburb, staring at the cedars in the distance and the jasmine flowers that are blooming through the fence. My gaze shifts between them and the single rose laying on the table, the rose my lover left me with last night. I can hear the birds humming with me to Fairouz classics. I can smell the neighbour's argileh (shisha/hookah). I'm on my third cup of cardamom flavoured shai (tea). I'm daydreaming of my travels, my nights in Casablanca, in Algiers, in Damascus and in Riyadh. I feel like a basbousa.

There's your Lebanese/Arabian picture, I hope I painted it well for those unfamiliar lol.

As you can see I'm obsessed with this perfume. It's intoxocating, dreamy, elegant. A lot call it powdery but I disagree. I'm not one for powdery scents, and if you look at my past reviews you'll see that for all my favourites, one of my most used adjectives is creamy. It's also incredibly unique. Orange blossom is the most prominent scent on me, but post drydown rose and honey are strong but in the most modern, sexiest way possible.

There's a Iraqi quote, "As if the clay you were made of, was kneaded with rose water". I feel like the living embodiment of this quote when I wear this :)

I want to thank Elie Saab and Francis Kurkdjian for this fragrance, and I wish I could do it personally. Give this perfume a chance.

Also editing to say I love this in the winter. Most reviews say it's more spring to them, but to me it's very fitting and comforting for my cold Canadian winters.

Bubbles1964

Springtime in a bottle. Beautiful heavy, intoxicating blend of orange blossom and honey. My 30ml bottle is a blind buy based off reviews I read here, and it does not disappoint. My skin tends to eat up fragrances and this lasted for an impressive 9 hours, several hours longer in my clothes. Intense has a little bit of a retro, mature woman vibe, but I still like it.

I don't think it's the most original scent I've encountered but it's fun to have in the collection. If you like big, deep orange blossom scents, this is for you.

auburnalmond

very sweet, narcotic and intoxicating... like being in a haze...

Natgem

Just. absolutely. beautiful! One of my fav go to fragrances for any day, mood, time!

danica.moore

Oh boy, this one is a head turner! I drench myself in this and I get so many compliments! The orange blossom and rose honey is so addictive, and this intense version amps the original scent up with amber. Smells exotic and sexy, perfect for a date night.

tini2008

Wow this is such a gorgeous perfume,i am in love

krissykatpawz81

I'd like to swap this also I have the matching lotion& only sprayed a few times, because I was trying to give it a chance maybe once it was ok,but when I first spray its an orange blossom bomb:(

Carpe Noctem

Intense is right. I wanted to love this too, as I read the reviews and they were so positive, but on my skin all I got was the orange blossom. Is it possible for someone's skin to magnify one note to an extreme?

I didn't know I was so sensitive to white florals but this gave me a headache. The orange blossom was so intense, and even after an hour, that is all I could smell! I really wanted to at least smell the honey, patchouli and amber, but I got nothing else.

I had to scrub it off after an hour, but it does have staying power!

Elle Ayah

I have both Le Parfum and this. Le parfum is bright and sparkly. Le parfum intense feels smoother, thicker, and creamier. I love both, but LPI does feel more intense to my nose. I'm thrilled that the amber here rounds and deepens alongside honey, not the least bit sharp or spicy.

anilinam

Francis Kurkdjan is a genius with orange blossom!

What's not to like about the combination of orange blossom with yilang yilang, rose and honey?

Although this is definitely a more voluptuous version of Elie Saab Le Parfume, since I really enjoy VaVaVaBoom fragrances, I layer this beauty with Shalimar Parfum Initial (sadly discontinued).

Every time I wear this combination... mmm the comments!!!

I wear many perfumes, and have an obsessive collection, but this combination, is what I consider my signature scent.

Elie saab is one of my favorite perfume brands and I like almost all their fumes(my only exception is nuit version which I'm yet on the fence about it).my feelings towards most of them is strong like.I own couture version, rose version, edt version and original le parfum and I really enjoy wearing them all.le parfum is great for any dressy occasion, date, nights out, parties &... I love to wear it because it feels very elegant, rich, sensual and there's no chance you go unnoticed.it's pure feminity and charm.I mostly love to wear it because it's good impression on other people but even if I wasn't a perfume addict I couldn't think of it as my signature, there's something in it that makes me crave it just sometimes and not always.I hardly believe it's strong jasmine note in le parfum which sometimes I become tired of it
Elie saab intense is exactly what I wished le parfum was.they have a lot in common but strong jasmine note in le parfum is replaced by a gorgeous orange blossom,my favorite floral note which I believe goes better than jasmine with honey and amber and my body chemistry
I can't stop smelling myself when I wear intense version.it's like a golden magical potion too good to be part of this world,it belongs to world of stories, tales and myths.it deserves to become a classic.I wish elie saab to produce it until I live so that I can proudly introduce it to my grand children fifty years later as one of my top ten favorite perfumes, always and forever
for me Le parfum has excellent projection, intense version is even better while it's even more rounded so don't associate the word "intense" with something sharp, invasive or cloying.in my experience even most strong perfumes have good sillage at first minutes of application, after half an hour there's a rapid drop in their projection but most elie saabs aren't like that.they keep their good projection for hours so if you test them at the same time with other perfumes,in most cases while other options become faint and only noticable by sniffing deeply and closely,le parfum and intense are still strongly wafting.quality and clearness is vivid in their scent, they're lively and have depth and never feel flat
It's strange for me to see some people complain about it's strength! I'm into sillage monsters and it's very satisfying for me.if sprayed normally you can smell it's gorgeous scent wafting around you and as you walk, you will leave a lovely trail of honeyed florals behind you.if sprayed with a heavy hand it can fill a room! About it's longevity, after just one quick spray on back of my hand I can smell it's faint dry down after +12 hours.it clings on clothes until you wash them
For me,intense flanker goes further than original le parfum in every aspect and is an improved version of it's sister.
if orange blossom and honey are among your favorite notes like in my case, you will definitely love it.as mentioned honeyed orange blossom is the strongest, but I also can detect all the other notes in it's pyramid.what can accompany orange blossom better than ylang-ylang and rose?and amber and patchouli make this honey, floral combo even deeper, warmer and richer.honey is thicker in this version and it's spicy ambery kick make it a little sweeter than le parfum, but orange blossom can handle sweetness better than jasmine so it doesn't get cloying.a subtle patchouli, rose and something like a soft whisper of vanilla mostly show up in drydown and make it even more erotic.
I can't detect dramatic changes through it's life.there's just tiney differences between different stages and all the stages of it are devine and yes,I'm gladly adding it to my top shelf.I'm mad at myself for buying it late.if I was not a perfume addict, just one bottle of elie saab le parfum intense for special occasions and one bottle of something simple for daily use would do the job for me
If you like warm, sweet ambery floral scents, something rich and classy and sexy at the same time, something that guarantees complements and makes you shine like gold, give this one a try
Longevity is +12 hours on my skin, projection is great..right now it's my favorite elie saab
Highly recommended

My favourite fragrance. Reminds me a little of Gaultier Classique but classier somehow.

amanda-m-lewis

Tried it today in a store and all I can say is that I am in heaven! It's a floriental and the ambery, honeyed notes are so rich and deep that I can't stop smelling my wrist.

You would think that the patchouli and the orange blossom might be overwhelming, to sweet or intense but no! The ylang-ylang balances it out. This is very beautifully blended and the composition is so gorgeous that I think I've found my signature scent.

So if anyone wants to do a swap or sale please do let me know!

Update !! This was so good that I just had to have it and it smells so good that I could eat it :-)

ZBear

I had the pleasure of trying Le Parfum Intense earlier this week. It opens with a blast of ylang-ylang, orange blossom, and spices -- and I mean blast. The spice part is almost reminiscent of the drydown of classic Coco, but 10x stronger.

I was about to turn away and leave the blotter when the sales associate implored me to please wait and that it would soften and develop.

She was right... soon, the vanilla peeked its head, and what ensued was a most beautiful composition. She also sprayed my wrists and a little on the front of my neck (so 3 generous sprays in total.) The first minute was a little intense, but the dry down was amazing.

Le Parfum Intense, to me, is a perfect winter fragrance. Heady white florals, spices, and vanilla sweetness. Pure gorgeousness worthy of a holiday party, strong-arming a boardroom, or dominating the bedroom (wink wink.)

Quite strong sillage and good lasting power. I am definitely putting this on my Christmas wish list. Bravo, Mr. Kurkdjian, I remain a devoted fan girl.

You close your eyes and you find yourself in an orange tree garden. The day is warm and sunny. The smell of orange blossom is ubiquitous. You hear the sound of bees. You follow the sweet scent of honey. You sit under a tree, look in the sky and smile. You are now closer to nature than ever before. The sun changes the colour from yellow to orange. You feel warm, relaxed, fulfilled.

First I fell in love with the Le Parfum version, it is just like the most enchanting jasmin incense stick. Then I tested all the other versions they had at the parfumery shop, not so to my liking. This one was a blind buy, excellent one... It makes me feel like a cat laying on a pillow by the fireside, purring with pleasure.

krissykatpawz81

At first I hated this....now I love it,I was looking for a perfume with a honey note&honey being strong, this perfume only has a faint honey note, first spray it smells like I climbed into an orange blossom tree....for like 1 hour&then I get rose, honey, then the most classy yet feminine powder, its mature&unique,it only smells good on me after 1&1/2,other than this, its divine, last about 6hours=)unique bottle very classy&a lot of sophistication,I have the matching lotion,a must! This is for women not girls!

PrissyCurls

Accidentally deleted my previous review as I was trying to do give an update.

Like I said this fragrance is the shit, the bomb, and the .com!
It's absolutely beautiful and oh...so sexy. It's almost as sexy as JPG edp.

It's sweet but not cloying. I can barely detect the patchouli which is a plus for me. The notes are blended beautifully, and I can feel the orange blossom and honey. My hubby loves this as well and it INSTANTLY went to my top shelf.

I love it!!! and ordered a backup bottle:-D

I adore this so much!

perfume_infatuated

Elegance in a bottle. Posh, formal, classy, bold, well-blended, very pleasant dry-down, very good performance, what else?

Mainly, it's a thick and syrupy orange blossom. Very sweet but never girly. Luminous and happy. Radiates a soft oriental flux that I like, similar to subtle incense. Sits on a very light powdery background. The best honey, and the best orange blossom I've encountered. They cannot be incorporated any better.

Although it could smell simple, it's absolutely classy and it perfectly fulfills the "femme elegante" expectations.

The bottle is a piece of art, and the ambery color of the perfume perfectly interprets the smell. Outstanding on any shelf. This should have been made the elixir edition--not the intense edition.

Full mark 10/10.

woodlandwalk

This is nicer in top notes, I think, than the other lighter versions, but that's just because I'm not keen on over-clean, bright florals. I find them a bit headachy.

The standard Eau de Parfum has a bright jasmine and rose, also a certain combo of smooth synthetic woody musk alongside sweet orange blossom that I find very similar to that in Coco Mademoiselle.

This intense version still hits the nose with some slightly oversweet and synthetic opening notes, but immediately it's less sharp-edged and you notice the sweet honey note.

Into dry down this becomes more and more relaxed and pretty, reminding me of L'Instant's honeyed floral feel - i.e. it's almost like honey on the comb with a nice beeswaxy touch and the sunny/soapy orange blossom. I also got stray whiffs of a very pleasant rose every so often.

Yep, this is pretty, though conventional, but for that reason easy to wear, as long as you spray lightly!

I sprayed on a very light touch to my left wrist about 7 hours ago and it's still very present, so I'd definitely go easy on the application.

HillTop

Very grown up, very elegant and tender as L'eau Couture. I get a perfect mix of amber and sweet mature orange. It is a definitely a oriental-floral but you don't have to be afraid it could be too strong, it's harmonic anyway. Longlasting fragrance, warm and deep. I would recommend this to real ladies. Younger girls better choose Elie Saab's Le Couture, it's lighter and a bit sweeter than this one.

Mary89

Great perfume, i love it, and wear it all the time, even in the summer!! In this perfume mainly i can smell pussy willow, that makes it very diffrent from other floral perfumes. Its very strong and deeeeeeep.

freddinos

Orange blossom on steroids. I was expecting honey but I guess I should look elsewhere, at least for the honey interpretation I am personally looking for. Having grown up in Greece, my childhood memories are these of dark, deep coloured thyme blossom or coniferous honey, almost too thick to eat with a spoon, with a resinous quality and the smells of the Greek Islands' nature in it. If there is any honey in Le Parfum Intense it is the runny, light, vaguely floral variety.
The orange blossom has a bubble gum like quality, and at the same time smells soapy-clean. Plus the longevity was so average on me I was surprised, given the reviews.
Anyhow, it's not a bad perfume, just not my cup of tea.

Mooniq

A beautiful scent. Reminds me of scents from the 80s and 90s. Little bit heavy, little bit sweetfloral and superfeminine. This is a great scent - 1 spray for daytime and 3-4 for partytime. Timeless to me. I love the Amber, white flower and honey-mix. Longlasting on my skin.

En underbar doft. Påminner mig om 80 och 90-talets dofter. Lite tung, lite sötblommig och superkvinnlig. En alltid-doft. 1 sprej för dagtid och 3-4 sprejningar för party. Tidlös i mitt tycke. Gillar amber, vitblommiga och honungsmixen. Mycket hållbar på min hud.

LLB_addict

This whole line from Elie Saab has me enthralled. I was wearing this one day. Sprayed it before work, may have spritz once again in the afternoon, and went to the gym at 7:30p. A woman two lanes over from me asked me what I was wearing. How is THATS for a fantastic perfume?!?!?

gtabasso

A blind buy that I love! This is unlike most of what I own. Goes on top with some citrus from orange blossom then spicy floral with sweet honey; no noticeable patchouli or rose, very harmonious but sweet, not gourmand

kbot

Had this and swapped it, but would love to own it again someday. I wore this a couple of times over the winter and every once in a while find myself craving it. It is honey and orange blossom with a hint of patchouli, very versatile and can be worn anywhere, dress up or dress down, smells rich and luxurious.

lilymorena

After reading the reviews here I understand the love and hate feelings. As in the most fragances taste and also Chemistry take a big place in how someone can like or not a scent. I have tryed and owned a few Eli Saab perfumes but for me this is the best of them. I don't like patchouli, at least not if the patchouli in the forefront comes, but I love angel, strange isn't it. Anyway the patc here doesn't bother me at all. The first note I smell here is a strong honeyed flower, creamy velvet rose. The velvet from NR Poudre but more mature and much stronger. The rose that comes to my mind is the same as in Sa Majeste la Rose from SL and also from Satin Mood. I know maybe it is a weird comparisson but I write wat I smell on my skin. ES Intense is a beautiful fragance that smell amazing, beautiful and it has definitely a wow factor. The patchouli? Thanks god it comes far very far in the drydown. Sillage is moderate after the first minutes but longevity is great. It goes to my wish list.

Perfumeaddict777

I only have a sample but, oooooh i love this stuff! So yummy, orange flower dripping with honey, and amber. This smells just like Bazooka gum! You know the hard pink square pieces individually wrapped. I used to walk to the party store as a kid and buy handfuls of that gum from the wooden barrels, only a nickel a piece. That must be why this perfume makes me happy. It even has that minty scent that the pink bubblegum has. It's long lasting, moderate sillage. Its FB worthy for me!

HeidiLynn

I wear this thinking, 'oh, I need to review this; I keep forgetting' and I put it on and forget about it. It's a pretty fragrance, just not that memorable. It's inoffensive and quite light, appropriate for work; the heat makes it bloom, but it doesn't last more than 4 hours and by then very faintly. It is a lovely pale orange blossom, and I think I also get a tad of night jasmine; I get no powdery ylang ylang, zero rich patch and no sultry honey. It's like a fragrance for a very young girl, even a child; simple, light, unsophisticated and not terribly original. That said, it's pleasant. The bottle is heavy and shaped nicely in the hand, and the color of the liquid makes a very pretty presentation. Still not sure if I'll keep this.

blake.lee

Slow death by orange blossom. Smells like Shalimar and L'Instant had a threesome with Fleurs d'Oranger by Serge Lutens. This is heavy, heavy almost suffocating. I can see why some people love it, but for me it's too much of everything. It's orange flowers lost in a jar of honey. It's thick and cloying and powdery.

Adina Galani

So everyone seems to love this one; should I feel guilty I don't? It is pretty, really so, but no big deal about it. Flowery, sweet, little vanilla in the end... that is it. And yes, on me, even if I am the only one, after 2 hours, this seemingly potent juice fades for good! I feel ambivalent about this one, I feel I have to love it because everyone does, but I just can't get that much impressed. It is a little unusual combo, but just too little for my taste, and in my view surely not a head turner. I bought it for I liked it in the beginning when I thought such a strong one will keep me scented at least 4-5 hours through, but as I said, in just 2 hours time, it was gone in the wind. Sad, very sad. And if this is meant for the ones enjoying Lancôme's thousands versions of La Vie est Belle, and that kind of stuff, well I don't enjoy La Vie est Belle either so I guess this is just not the right choice for my skin.

jessrogue

Very very nice...

Such a sexy orange blossom perfume.

To me this a nighttime version of Fleur d`Oranger Le Couvent des Minimes.

gillbert

this juice is so potent, deep, rich, moist and strong compositions. very warmly, very sweet and flowery. honey note is covering all the juice from the opening to dry down. I love patchouli and amber note in this composition - milky and warmly feel. by far, the best release by Elie Saab. congratulation Francis Kurkdjian

Amazing combination of orange blossoms and honey.
This is an ultra feminine sensual scent that lingers on for hours leaving the most beautiful trail at one's passage.A true perfume like not so many others out there.Sillage and longevity both very good. For me the best Elie Saab

Musky4

This is more of a 'first impressions' rather than an actual review (which I hope to add at a later date), as I've only just tried this on paper and not yet on my skin. This perfume only really came to my attention very recently and from what I'd read, sounded like it was something I should definitely try! Let me just add here that I'm not really a fan of Elie Saab perfumes in general - I think they're nice enough and not bad in any way, but the ones I've tried just haven't been my cup of tea personally. So, I tested this on a paper strip yesterday and on first spray couldn't believe how horrible it was!! I was left wondering how this had got all of those glowing reviews! All the same, I kept the paper strip in my pocket. Later in the day, I kept going back to smell the strip because the scent had completely transformed from that initial spray into something altogether different and FANTASTIC! Even now the strip smells gorgeous, rich, sweet, opulent, feminine, elegant, ultra sexy. All the things I love in a perfume! It smells both classic and very modern at the same time. It seems that removing the jasmine from the original Elie Saab Le Parfum and adding the ylang-ylang and amber to the Intense version has made all the difference for me. I definitely intend going back and trying this on my skin.
UPDATE: So I tried this again properly and the first phase of the fragrance, which I really don't like, lasted about 45 minutes and was very strong. It would probably have lasted longer if it hadn't been for my doing a heavy gym workout and my body heat accelerating the dry-down. Anyhow, once the perfume 'transformed' and became a scent that I really liked, it was very soft and almost a skin-scent in comparison to the initial phase. It's such a shame as I just don't want to have to wait for nearly an hour before the perfume becomes wearable to me. For this reason and with regret, I'll have to pass.

ivlia

I hate it. Don't buy it. It's horrible. Big big no.

(...just doing everything in my power to make it stay mine and only mine...)

PS. I've just dumped my previous signature scent after 17 years. No more comments needed, I guess...

xJessax

Update: This perfume is so fabulous and rich. I sprayed another fragrance and I can STILL smell the undertones from this gorgeous gem! This lingers and lingers for even up to 12 hours on me. It's so rich and inviting, I love how addicting this scent becomes as you wear it more and more!

Lyoness

What a surprisingly lovely perfume! I am not usually into deep, heavy oriental perfumes like these ones, but my mum and I smelt it in Myer while shopping and both of us absolutely loved it. It is instantly recognisable when someone sprays it, and to me it is so unique that nothing quite comes close to it. It's really the Patchouli that makes it, with a beautiful combination of orange blossom and rose honey that balances out that oriental/floral duo. This is sophistication in a bottle, without being at all over-powering.

Chelsea1605

Wow this is opulent! Heavy florals and honey! I can't stop sniffing my hand it's that intoxicating, i need a full bottle in my life NOW.

Edit. (May) I now finally have a full bottle and I am so completely in love. It's my favourite fragrance in my collection.

mschnabel666

I should start off by saying, heavy florals are NOT my thing. Yet Elie Saab Le Parfum INTENSE is soooo intoxicating! And I love the potency/sillage!

This thick, syrupy scent with huge sillage/potency may not be for everyone, but I'm loving it! I "like" it as a scent, but I LOVE to wear it!

Between the amber, honey, and ylang ylang, I'm in the middle of a sweet floral bomb and I can't help but enjoy it. I normally hate patchouli, but here it's just a touch, adding to the overall heaviness of the scent.
I def would like a 1 or 1.7 ounce of this. It's totally not my thing, but I want to wear it from time to time. A little goes a long way!

I have not smelled the first EDP, but to me-- this smells like Classique on steroids. And I have a bottle coming. ;)

Awater01

Did I just find Venus in a bottle? It's so very opulent and rich. A heady floral with a resinous, almost incensy base. It conjours images of what perfume smelt like in ancient times when it was rare and precious. It definitely feels like it's from another era, like what Cleopatra was wearing when she seduced Antony. This will always be in my top five, it's just devine.

chanelnumerocinq

Le Parfum Intense is unique among oriental perfumes. Gallons of honey over a (very) warm amber base with a sheer overlay of orange blossom. The honey and orange blossom are sweet. Perhaps too sweet for some, as it borders on syrupy, but it does make for a rather modern feeling oriental that someone with sweeter trendier taste in perfume might enjoy. The amber has a dry resinous quality to it which tempers the sweetness slightly. It feels exotic and decadent, but girly at the same time. It is not at all spicy. The scent projects about an inch but with great longevity. It’s rather linear because it’s not a complex scent.

I can see myself wearing this all the time just for the enjoyment of it. If I were able to resist, this is would be more suitable as a chic special occasion scent. Overall, I find this heavenly and am totally crazy for it.

gibylovelyscent

Very very intents!!!!!
Strong and longlasting over 12hour.
I just have 1 spray on my cloths.

I dont know how I can used of all bottle 90ml.

It amazing!!!

xJessax

Whenever I want to feel classic, sophisticated, and womanly, THIS is the one I reach for!

It's warm, full bodied, and intoxicating. It's also quite strong and it lingers and lingers... I'll be catching whiffs of this even after 10+ hours.. you really get the quality you pay for with this one!

The top opens with gorgeous blooming orange blossom! It smells so authenic and real, it makes me want to burry my nose against my wrist all day! Shortly after, the orange blossom is accompanied by the honey & rose...making it sweet, warm, and inviting! The sweetness of the honey is also very authenic and true to the scent of actual honey. It's not "childishly sweet" in ANY way, it's just enough sweetness to keep it from being too overwhelming. The base notes of patchoulli and amber welcome the trio after about 3 hours on my skin, and the way it just melts together... simply stunning! <3 It quickly became one of my favorite scents of ALL time! It's not watered down, generic, or remotely boring! LOVE this one!! <3
(Also I must add with this one, it IS quite strong and intense, just as the name implies, so if you like your perfume strong and love florals, this one's for you!)

*Edit: Scent itself: 10/10!
Longevity~ 10+ hours
Sillage~ Moderate to heavy (depending on climate)

hyperfluff

This one really surprised me. It has a very thick, rich, classic scent, very vintage smelling. Very mature, elegant and noble. I think 'old world' when I smell it. I almost couldn't believe what I was smelling on my wrist when I tested it. It smelled like I had sprayed on something concocted 50+ years ago. I don't know if the tester bottle has gone off? I get ALOT of amber with patchouli, ALOT of orange blossom or neroli. It's thick, deep, warm, bitter, boozy and soapy all at once. I don't actually smell honey, there is no sweetness here at all, but I sense its' 'texture'...don't know if that makes sense. If you're into vintage smells, you could try this. It reminds me of Classique's mid notes, but thickened and made more serious with bitter patchoulli, booze and extra amber in place of Classique's fruits, vanilla and spices. Next to this one, Classique edt smells like a playful, little girl. So I'm not a fan of this Elie Saab creation (I adore Classique though).

Peachysugarbuns

I tried Elie Saab L'eau Couture first and liked it very much; however, after a day of wear, the mix of custardy sweetness and syrupy florals started to annoy me. I felt physically exhausted at the end of the day from how cloying it was, which was surprising! Elie Saab Le Parfum Intense is a different story. It shares the same DNA as others in the Elie Saab line, but settles better on my skin, forming a beautiful rhapsody of notes that I, and others around me (based on the compliments I receive!), enjoy very much.

I love orange blossom in nearly any permutation and Francis Kurkdjian uses a fresh, sweet version in Le Parfum Intense - it is airy instead of being heavy or too "sunny". Like in L'Eau Couture, this scent splits into two distinct personalities when I smell it. Though this fragrance is well-balanced to me, the zippy notes of patchouli, rose and orange blossom seem to be isolated in one group, while the sweet, dense notes of ylang, honey, and amber are in a different group. I can totally "see" the lighter group of notes in the foreground and the heavier notes in the background when I inhale - the dichotomy makes this scent feel like it would be an appropriate wear in a variety of settings. It is sweet and sexy with an absolute "intelligence" to it.

I like Le Parfum Intense! I need to wear it for the whole day to see if it vibes with me, but I think this could be the Elie Saab fragrance that works for me out of the lot of them. I like how Francis stuck with a theme and manipulated the fragrances to be similar enough to be a family, but different enough to fit different feelings. There is an Elie Saab for everyone, I think! Nice work.

ellenresia

This is perfect for feminine women who want to spread their aura to her surrounding.
When I wear that perfume, I feel like an elegant lady with wedding dress... wait... I think I am definitely wear that in my wedding day :)
Le Parfum Eau de Parfum Intense fragrance is very sensual and elegant also feminine. 1st layer is orange blossom explosion, 2nd layer is sensual ylang-ylang and honey.. oh this makes me feel very relax, and until the 3rd layer is amber. Those ingredients are super perfect for a perfect day on occasion that's you won't forget. Because this smell is so beautifully stunning.
It little bit reminds me of burberry london woman, but this perfume is stronger and much better than burberry london and I do love them both.

genny17

I love this perfume, I love orange blossom, and this is delightfully crafted in Elie Saab Intense. Strong floral, warm, with great longevity, a bit of spiciness also with the ylang ylang, just enough to amp up the floral notes without falling in the trap of being a spice rack scent...I am addicted to it!! It is feminine, grown up, and opens up nicely on the skin!! The ylang ylang gives it a distinctive exotic vibe. The type of fragrance a woman who loves being a woman would wear, utterly pretty, nothing to prove, elegant yet with character.

Angelica 000

This is one of those rare scents that are exactly what they say they are.I thought the Le Perfume was lovely, this one is ramped up to perfection.Long lasting, enough sillage to make sure you are noticed, beautifully blended so no one note takes over, it's love.

twoteacakes

I have a 10ml of the original but decided not to purchase a larger size. It was pleasant, but just a little airy, rosy and sour. There was just something missing and in the intense, I have found the depth that I was looking for. At first spray the orang blossom and rose are very prominent. This is where it most resembles the original. Then the honey and ylang ylang come along, adding to the symphony. Finally I get some wisps of amber and patchouli which just give depth and meaning to the fragrance. Thankfully the patchouli is not overdone, just enough to give some balsamic body, not overpowering at all. Very feminine, modern and original. Great bottle too, has a heavy vintage vibe. I like. A lot.

Angeldaisy

most of you seem to love love love this treasure.

im afraid i don't.

the reason:

it is a very sweet, very cloying honeyed floral and despite me liking (and wearing) "mature" fragrances like "L'Heure Bleu" and bombastics like Fracas....this one still manages to knock my block off and make me feel 20 years older than i am.
it has a relentlessness that i might enjoy in a Chanel or a Guerlain.

i am pretty sure it is aimed at the lady who enjoys things like La Vie Est Belle, J'Adore, Chloe and perhaps Allure EDP and dare i say, JPG Classique EDP.
it has that feel about it. a "modern" very feminine perfume.

it is what it is and it is indeed a lovely fragrance on the right person, but i would recommend testing before you buy, especially if you are unfamiliar with the Elie Saab line.

Ttj

Loooove this perfume! Starts of with fresh orange blossom, quite strong. But after a short while it mellows down to a thick golden honey. Being a vanilla lover I never tested this before now. I`ve been missing out. This will be my signature scent this fall.

Dimitra79

One more comment for this, I just want to point out that for me this is perfect for the summer as well as the winter. It lifts me up because of its magical scent...and the compliments I get!
It's not fresh or aquatic, but it's harmonious sweet and glorious, like sunshine.
Beautiful.

vanillary29

This is too beautiful to describe in words. The original Elie Saab Le Parfum is my special occasion perfume. I only ever pull it out when I want something dazzling and not something I'd wear everyday. Now THIS, my friend, is Le Parfum but sweeter, thicker, more potent, more beautiful. As if that was even possible! This is a dream in a bottle. One spray would suffice and you would smell like honeyed amber for the longest hour. A 30ml bottle would last forever since you only need the tiniest bit of this liquid sunshine! This is a treasure.

badgerbruno

This was given to me by mistake rather than the original for a Birthday gift. If anyone is interested in doing a swap, let me know.

Hipchick40

This is THE ONE! When I got this and sprayed it for the first time, my thought was: "I can swap all my other bottles. This is all I will ever need!" How is that for strong love? I have over 40 full bottles but this would be what I would keep if I had to pick just one.
I do own the EDT, EDP and L'eau Couture. I love them too but the EDT&EDP versions are a little more stinging and sharp. I crave them and wear one or the other several times a week but lately, I had been layering them with a sweeter base like Lolita Lempicka Fleur Defendue just to soften them up a little. Well now, with the Intense version, it's all in one bottle! The orange blossom and honey is still predominant and is the classic ES signature, but the addition of the amber just smooths it all out, rounds the harsher edges. It also gives a very little hint of powder which is a characteristic I enjoy when done well. Even though this is warmed up, it is still what I think will be very versatile as far as seasons go. And because I'm a skirt instead of shorts and dresses layered over jeans kind of girl, I think it will suit any occasion/outfit of mine. I want to bathe in this, I love it so much. I luckily ordered two samples of this and the L'eau Couture but didn't even wait to order this in a full bottle because just reading the notes and reviews here. I knew I'd adore it. I'll save one of the samples for my hand bag for on the go refreshers.
Because I'm an Elie Saab fanatic, I have back-up bottles of the EDP too. If anyone is interested in swapping their Intense for an EDP, let me know. And I'm also lucky to have started the swap process for a fb of Couture too. My life is complete. <3

Cairo Rose

The perfume starts off with a strong in-your-face blast them calms down a bit...but I kept getting an odd metallic note that was a huge turn off for me. Later on patchouli was all I smelled...it overwhelms the other components a bit too much. It does cling to the skin well though. I own the Eau De Toilette and adore it...my daughter and I agreed...this is a bit of a bitchy scent when compared to the delicate beauty of the Eau De Toilette.

ScenTric

Absolutely beautiful feminine scent. Love it. To me the rose and orange blossom are quite strong but something kicks in to help to balance them from being too sickly and I think it's the ylang ylang. I wear it both day or night and feel it suits any occassion.

Ilovemegigi

I absolutely love this fragrance, it's so sexy and I feel so confident when I wear it.

Eaugirlspirit

This is just gorgeous. This perfume carries the honeyed-amber sweetness perfectly, and reminds me of scents like JPG Classique Intense, Rihanna Reb'l Fleur, Givenchy Dahlia Divin and Miss Dior Le Parfum. It has the floral top notes of the original, fresh and clean, but has an underlying deepness to it, wow. It wears beautifully on my skin, with the floral top notes fading gracefully after 30 minutes and the ambery warmth taking over after that. This is definitely a new staple in my collection. I love Elie Saab L'Eau Couture as well, and am contemplating getting that one too, because they are different enough to have both. I also want to check out the Newest Elie Saab Resort Collection. It's too bad Elie Saab's perfumes aren't sold at more stores.

Oamae

The opening reminds me of a less harsh, much less controversial angel but not exactly 'tone down' Angel by Thierry Mugler. The dry down is sweet, floral, and as someone who really dislikes white florals, pretty tolerable! The honey works in favor of taking the edge off rather than amplifying it. I like it.

Panda94

This fragrance is f**king sexyness! Everytime I wear this I feel so confident, sexy, glamorous, high, rich and seductive! I think the notes in this fragrance is very powerful, everytime I wear this fragrance I feel so "WOW" about myself. It last on the skin for a good while which is amazing! It's very feminine & I also think it will seduce the people around you, just because the notes in this bottle is freakin sensual and sexy! This fragrance also reminds me of high fashion.

enigmaticessence

I haven't tried them side by side but this is a lot like the original on my skin. A sweet orange blossom, exaggerated by the honey and amber, a citrusy green edge and patchouli base. It dries down a little powdery and sweet in a 'musky' way.

I did try it on the same day as Kiehl's Musk and think they would layer quite well. In fact if you find modern orange blossoms too sweet in general, layering with a blended musk can be a great solution.

Side note: Keihl's is somewhat like the musk in Jovan Musk for women, except with a stronger note reminding me of gasoline. If this proves too strong, Coty Wild Musk is another easily layered musk.

I'm excited about the possibility presented in layering, because I don't feel comfortable in the beauty of Elie Saab's perfumes without an extra touch, and normally I can't wear basic musks at all. This discovery makes a win - win!

poemefreak

I love love love this on myself but others around me seem to think this is quite an old dated smell, and they think its too old for me which i take as a compliment as i am 50 years old. It does remind me of opium the old original. I love the stronger perfumes and i am so sad that no one likes this on me :(

ScarlettX

I like it! A lot, actually. It would go really well with black evening gown and fancy necklace. It has amber note it it, that's the main difference between this one and the original. Amber makes it warm and more suitable for evenings, but I prefer the original better. I guess I'm more of a daytime person as I look better at daytime.
It's a nice , warm white floral with honey and amber.
Sexy, elegant and sophisticated, glowing fragrance.

Nyssa Ainley

This fragrance and I have had a rocky relationship.

Think of a romantic comedy .... there I am strolling down the street whereupon I bump into a human form of this fragrance, Hugh Grant, and his obnoxious arrogance makes me slap him in the face which stuns him.

Irony of ironies though I find out he is my cousins best friend and we meet at a family gathering ... my Aunt's and Uncle's 50th. He tells of this really clumsy girl slapping him in the face to this ultra sexy woman who treats him as a baby. Suddenly he catches my eye as I am about to sing. It physically hurts me to see him sway with this woman.

I meet another man. Softer, sweeter, gentlemanly and kind. What could go wrong? HE is also married!

Fast forward to the 3rd act. He finds out ultra sexy woman is actually married to big butch boxer type who then beats him up properly. He realises what a twit he was. He is in hospital and he asks to see me.

I, meanwhile, am about to make a mistake of allowing the roguish and drunk Rufus Sewell seduce me into being his mistress when I get the call ... a little hesitantly I walk out of the mansion but realise I made the right decision when I see his wife sitting on a step crying. "You could do better!" I kindly say. She does not respond.

I am at the hospital bed seeing him lying there sad, neglected; as I find out he was orphaned that day we first met... he had just heard his father died. That he did not mean to make me feel insulted. A flicker of the eyelids, a small brush on the hand. I see him for the first time, properly see him. This is the man I need in my life, one who can smile through pain.

We end up talking the whole night through in the hospital room (in a rom-com that is allowed!) I wake up, he is still asleep but as I watch him my heart grows ... I realise I love him.

This has been my third try of this particular fragrance from a sample ... yes, after the third act ... I want this fragrance that I so sorely misunderstood before.

I guess it was because it was unlike anything I have tested before but now I own Alien, I get it now. Elie Saabs Le Parfum Intense is definitely a scent for the late twenties onwards range.

Very strong, warm and intense floral that does indeed need time to grow but once it does ... you will never look back again at an almost blind buy to one you have tried and smelt. The only sweetness is from honey adding the strength and anchoring down the stronger florals onto your wrist.

Elie, forgive me for 'slapping you in the face' metaphorically and almost being one of the very hates. I love you, Elie.

Juliana6

Golden, thick, intense and because of that almost vintage if we speak about the quality and the "aura" of those grand classics. The opening is beautiful, fresh orange blossom which disappears quite quickly followed by a rich, golden honey and flower note. I imagine a bee's legs could smell like that after a long working day which it has spent inside the flowers covered by aromatic pollen. Funny, but I get something close to TM Alien too- that hypnotizing, warm vibe.
The base on me turns slightly aldehydic (due to the intense honey and flower mixture), warm and classy. I don't really feel the patchouli, it must be here just to reinforce other notes and make the scent last. Last golden drops of july sunny evenings, rich honey scent on my skin in the middle of the january. What a luxury!

Su_Bakshi

To put it in one word - "WOW". This is the kind of frag I had been looking for. It is perfect for winter. I have the biggest bottle and sometimes I feel like bathing in it :P Coming to the fragrance, it is opulent, warm and spells luxury. Honey is very easily detectable. It forms a thick cloud of fragrance around you which means the silage is amazing. Longevity is monstrous. I sprayed it on my pullover two days ago and it is still there...pretty strong. I actually ordered LE PARFUM but they sent me this one by mistake. Initially I was a little apprehensive but when I read the reviews, I found out that this one is better. Definitely my favorite right now. Love the bottle too <3

deda147

So I finally decided to buy a FB of this elixir and I'm really glad I did. When I tested it on a blotter it was a lovely concoction of honey, amber and orange flower. It opens with the freshness of orange blossom, then the sweet/creamy ylang ylang appeared along with the rosehoney note. It eventually dried down to an amber, drizzled over with non-cloying honey and a floral background consisting of the orange blossom/ylangylang, grounded by the patchouli.

When I sprayed it on my skin it morphed in something else. The orange blossom opening is still evident, but not as long lasting on the blotter. I can't make out the ylang ylang at all (which is a shame, since I really love that note) and the rosehoney is more of an accent instead of one of the main players. The note that got amplified on my skin, surprise surprise, the patchouli. On my skin it became a rather intoxicating blend of patchouli, an undercurrent of honey mixed with florals and a base of amber. It really surprised me how this one changed on my skin.

It's quite reminiscent of Gucci by Gucci (the brown bottle), even though that one contained a more 'cooler' patch an a more fruity vibe. I think it's a great alternative to the Gucci and it's perfectly unisex, if you're not afraid of the florals and honey in this fragrance. The patchouli drydown is really worth it guys!
Longevity is good, about 8 hours and sillage is also fine, not too overpowering.

Gingercat77

Wow!!!! This is just gorgeous..... I tested some in Boots today and it is definitely on my wish list. I love strong perfumes and this is bold, confident and classy. Great sillage and lasting power. WANT. IT. NOW :)

Fabulous Kevin

I can't tell how much i love this perfume, definitely my top 5 favourite. Le Parfum EDP Intense is such a rich scent, a little sweet and fresh, so elegant, i can wear it all day and night. Sillage is heavy to moderate but the longevity is incredible (12 hours+), highly recommend this one. 10/10

prairiebellecandle

Le Parfum by Elie Saab is a happy, hypnotic, sparkling scent. It is a little too clean for me, but I am always happy to smell it. It's out of my comfort zone, but it's uplifting spirit draws me to spritz it on. It's bubbly, and effervēscent and inviting. It lasts and lasts and has a nice dry-down to a dry, sunny warmth (usually not my style) ....but the freshness keeps me going and makes me feel "modern."

Dimitra79

Gorgeous!!!
Rich, elegant, warm, really really special.
One of the best perfumes out there. Ever.

napiergirl

After wearing this for a few weeks i have to add that the dry down of this is DEVINE..which i think can be rare in a fragrance as so often they change personality at the end .This is something SpeciaL!!!!!

Mellyhelly

Now, going towards winter Elie Saab Intense makes a lot of sense. Too much for my budget.
I love it, simply put.
In my previous review I wrote that this smells like amber intimacy. It's still true for me, but today Elie Saab Intense (from a big sample) really bloomed on my wrist. This is the kind of perfume that I can call PERFUME. Here we are.
Forget about all the stingy plasticky florals around. Here we have the Floral in all its due richness, glory and feminity.
Is this sweet? Yes, it is sweet, but here you need to forget all the factory candies and sugary perfumes of this world.
The orange flower is lovely and it is so well blended with the warm base, that ESI eventually manages to be true to its nature from start to end.
In many cases floral-woody perfume have a very bright, almost fresh-pungent opening, but after a few hours you only smell a plasticky woody drydown, quite harsh that has no relation with the first part of the scent. Here every stage is linked to the other ones.

It also reminds me of the oldest thick Neroli from L'Occitane.
This ES smells powerful and rich in a very Middle Eastern way and it blinks the eye to old-fashioned lady perfumes, but at same time it is definetely a modern one.
I smell the honey, too and it's not obnoxious.
For me ES Intense is a perfect example of a good marriage between modernity and old-world extravagance.
I wouldn't suggest this Elie Saab and no Elie Saab to someone who doesn't love orange blossom. You need to love orange blossom for this. And I do.

pi^2

A rich, potent, sweet fragrance. It starts with the usual Elie Saab orange blossom, beautiful as always, and dries down to a long-lasting honeyed, ambery rose, with a hint of patchouli.

I love the EDT but find the original EDP suffocating. For me the Intense is just the perfect version for a cold, rainy day. It is not one of those fluffy soft-and-warm fragrances; it has wamrth and sweetness but is also powerful and energetic. There's a pleasant edge to it.

Some reviews have described it as somewhat dated or resembling fragrances from the 80s; I see what they mean, but to me this doesn't smell dated (and I'm not a vintage girl). It is retro rather than vintage - a modern, very Elie Saab perfume inspired by the classics of the 80s. Also its beauty makes it kind of timeless, beyond trends. I can imagine the Queen of Sheba was wearing this majestic honeyed rose when she came to visit King Salomon. A beautiful fragrance indeed.

PLUMPIE

My new love affair - this has the wonderful patchouli/floral/honeyed base of the original Le Parfum but is a completely different scent as it is bulked up with more honey/beeswaxy notes (a very natural sweetness), and what smells to my nose an expensive rose-sandalwood incense and every so often I catch a whiff of Nag Champa in there but it is not overbearingly incensey or reminiscent of a hippie shop whatsoever. This is a powdery blend of honey-rose gorgeousness which will never date. I liken it to a more modern take on Toujours Moi with rose musk incense. It smells quite a lot like my beloved and now discontinued Gucci EDP except this is not as dry.

This fragrance is a rarity for that every note it is composed of is a note I love, I have never owned a fragrance and loved every note, usually there's one or two I could not place or don't quite belong and might put me off a purchase but they aren't really noticeable. This one I could have bought blindly right off the shelf without even sniffing.

The bottle is also gorgeous. Totally worth the splurge. Out of the Elie Saab fragrances this is the one to covet.

butterflyblue

I can't believe how much I love this perfume. The dry down is sexy, warm, lasts on me 6-8 hours. I think in the top notes it smells a little like Chanel Coco, but then it softens to an amazing honey filled beauty.

eveclair

I really couldn't figure out whether I liked this at first, as it is very sweet and feminine..I am normally an 80's spice bomb sort of girl. But I own a bottle now and don't regret it. The orange flower is just fresh enough to stop this whole thing melting into some nasty scent for teenagers. But it has a waxy or fatty white flower side, which I confused as a natural honey-waxy scent. The honey scent seems fairly natural to me, though maybe it is not really waxy at all. Either way, its this waxiness/fattiness that is interesting to me. This leads me to the amber drydown. Soft, warm, inoffensive, and retaining some sweet orange blossom freshness, still detectable the next day in the rooms where I have been. The patchouli is barely detectable, though i suspect it could be helping to keep this fragrance away from teenager territory. I would agree with other readers this is a gourmand scent.

napiergirl

Got this as a gift yesterday , at first i thought it was the original , thought i could smell jasmine etc , did wonder why it was sweeter than i remembered .But after looking at bottle a second time it all became obvious ....yes sweet and rich but depending on temp its a devine mixture of ylang ylang and white floral...i only detect its orange blossom when its cooler ..all with a sultry ,sexy honey syrupy base. Its getting hotter here so to me its very sweet , still yummy but would think cooler temps it would be better . Great projection , super feminine and sexy .

sp89123

i wanted to love this one.. i thought this would finaly be it...my signature.. blew away 130$ on it..but nope..its not the miracle it was on the tester strip for me. this one started out too strong. n stayed strong. strangely it did not change notes at all with time. just remained that thick sweet honey on me for a longgg while(almost 10 hrs).. aftr 4-5hrs it remains close to the skin.less is more with this one. its sweet and lovely in a thick warm kind of way.but not quite the dream i expected out of this bottle. neither love nor hate. just.. a meh...an expensive 90ml of meh..

Julie Billi

Update: I used to love this perfume & was my signature last winter, but this year for some reason I find it a bit sweet for me....Maybe got used with the more uplifting, fresh summer frangrances..... (I adore my new signature Serge Lutens Fleurs D' oranger)....

But....I keep receiving soooo many compliments with this sweet honey elixir! Still a lovely creation!

HanamiTsukimi

I was a little disappointed at first. I thought this would be my instant favorite of the Elie Saab bunch, but it starts off way too strong for me. Too much honey.

But once it calms down it grows on me by the half hour. Ah, once it settles and the honey relaxes into the amber and orange blossom... that's better. That's more of what I was looking for.

I still feel like it'd be even better with added spice, but I really like the drydown of this. I'll just have to remember to apply it way before I plan to leave the house.

Oh, and for those of you interested in trying this line without having to offer up your firstborn, there's a "Discover Set" that includes this, the EDT and the EDP, 4ml of each for around $10 depending on where you get it. Great deal.

llburris

Talk about falling in LOVE. I have another version of this perfume that I love but this one is even more appealing. I, again, am feeling enveloped by honey this morning. It's very muggy and hot outside but I do not feel this is too much for this weather. Intense does equal intense. I purchased a 90ml bottle of this and am already dreading the day I get to the bottom for I know that I will be swimming in this frequently :o) I WILL purchase again and recommend to anyone who loves this deep, rich honey smell.

Centsless

I've finally tried all 3 renditions of Le Parfum: I love all of them, but for different times of the year. Intense=INTENSE. This is more of a winter scent to me. The honey is sticky and sweet, and the star of the show in this version. The honey and amber almost drown out the orange blossom. But it's still there, peeking out from time to time. (I get the same hide and seek orange blossom from Lady Million, which I also love). Overall, Intense is beautiful but definitely for cooler temps and applied carefully. Very long lasting too!

labradorite

Where do I start? There are so many miracles happening in this bottle I don't know where to begin. The bottle itself is a piece of miracle, it is absolutely stunning! It's a solid, dense piece of weighty glass, and as the light bounces off it, it looks like an expensive piece of crystal. Gorgeous.
The juice is fantastic. It's very strong and very potent, and one spritz lasts a lifetime. It opens sweet with a pinch of orange blossom which adds a bit of freshness to the scent, but then blends in with the honey, the amber, and the ylang-ylang... I personally cannot smell the rose and thanks God the patchouli is just the perfect, subtle amount and it never gets a chance of domination. It puts the fragrance on a different level, deeper and kind of sensual in a light way as it isn't designed to be a sexy scent, not at all.

I do think that the creator did an amazing job in here. It's such a well balanced scent, and not only the notes are the perfect amounts, they are blended wonderfully too. Nothing stands out; they are there to simply compliment each other, not to fight for the pole position. It's definitely an elegant fragrance, very womanly and gives a real confidence boost. It's a scent for special occasions, to make a special night with a special person (or people) stand out even more. And you are going to stand out as well wearing it, that's a promise.

This one is labeled as the Intense version of Le Parfum, but honestly the original is such a huge bomb that the difference is not that noticeable. They also smell similar, although I find Intense a bit deeper and a bit sweeter and that's why I chose it.

KatBCN

This smells like an ultra-sweet Algerian pastry called Kalb el Louz (almond heart). When I first tested this, my husband thought of that cake/pudding immediately. It starts sweet, with sugary honey and light orange blossom. Compared to the light, fresh scents I normally like, it feels heavy, but not suffocating. It is very blended, and the notes work together instead of any one note being dominant. Almost 2 hours after spraying, it shifts to a patchouli, amber, slightly powdery dry down that lingers close to skin. I would call it comforting, sophisticated, and intriguing. To me, this is gourmand. It made me smile and feel very feminine, it is delicious. Not my favorite of the Elie Saab line, but a joy to test and bring back that scent memory. I would like to test again in cooler weather.

alassouli

OMG.... this was a gift from me to myself on the occasion of my first born this year. I just fell in love with this perfume right after I sniffed it at Sephora. Yes, I had to buy the 90 ml bottle right on the spot. I have finished almost half of the bottle in 4 months. You just wanna keep sniffing it all the time. It is so elegant and chic. Ohhh Gosh I cannot even imagine if God forbid this product ever discontinues.

mooglebuns

This is delicious. I only have a one time use sample, which makes me sad, because I decided to try it before I needed to shower in case it stunk. It's loaded with sweet thick honey, rich amber and bright orange blossoms. It's not at all sharp. I think this sample warrants a trip to the store to try the perfume out of the bottle and maybe even a purchase. So warm. It's like narcisco rodriguez for her and dolce and gabbana the one had a perfectly blended baby. Love!

Antares811

Maybe too much honey for my taste yet it's a delicious scent.
Sophisticated, fresh and sweet at the same time, feminine and longlasting.
I prefer this Intense Version over the original Le Parfum. It's cozy and warm.
Gorgeous.

ecerusen

too much honey for me :(

but i should admit it, this is an impressive smell

if you dont like sweety floral perfumes, this one isnt for you.

Lexxy

I got a sample of the Intense by mistake, I wanted the original edp bc the list of notes really appealed to me. I don't know what the original smells like but this Intense version sure is intense, it's very perfumy and strong. It also smells dated to me for some reason. It reminds me of the perfumes my aunts used to wear in the late 80's early 90's but there is something in there that is nice (think it's the orange blossom and honey) so I'll still give the edp and edt a try, but this one is not for me.

gawerika

I first bough the original Elie Saab Le Parfum when if came out, I really like the scent as it was sparking and fresh (the citrus notes from the Orange Blossom were a bit too fresh) and the mix with the patch gave me migraines thus I swopped it off to friend instead. This offering on the top notes are more subdued by the Amber and the Ylang-Ylang this is still fresh but creamy and feminine with a trail soft Tuberose and patch. Even though it is an intense version the silage is moderate and it is very long lasting...I only use 1 spray and it last 24 hours straight thus very potent. I get the scent on myself throughout the wear but it kinda borders on being a little overbearing for the wearer at times too.

I am very pleased with my purchase...will definitely recommend it for any collection but doubt it that I would repurchase it as this is likely to last me a long time and there are still other fragrances I would like to try out.

julieekerr

This is just lovely. Sweet, floral with patchouli amber base. It seems familiar but cannot place what it reminds me of. It is quite heavy/intense but i love if for that fact :i can smell it close to myself. Many perfumes wear off on me quickly but this lasts. Purchased it spring, but sense it could be too much hot weather. it is my favorite from this collection. My daughter prefers the Eau de parfum

Mennza

My husband hated it .. i liked it at first then started to hate it also

deda147

Hedward, I don't regard this one too feminine. The opening is actually quite feminine because of the vivid and bright orange blossom, but after a while it settles into a nice amber and honey fragrance. It's practically a bright, opulent, transparent honey infused with florals, with a nice and smooth amber base.

Edit: Even one of my friends thought it was a perfume for men, when he smelled it blind.

Pari88

Like bees to a flower I can not get my nose away from my wrist. It conjures images of a British countryside or Southeastern American Spring, very vintage and Royal. It is a late afternoon, when the sun seems to bounce light off of every thing, and becomes sort of sparkly. No matter the heat, late afternoon brings the brightness of golden light, but relief from the harsh strong rays. Have you ever seen the way rays look when shining between the branches of bushes or trees? Yes, like that.

The smell reminds me of my mom. My mom is my best friend, truly. Who knows us better then our own mothers who bore us in hardship? We share the love of perfumery and always swap our bottles. So this Gem, is gladly one that we can share and enjoy together.

According to Western astrology, my mom was born on the Cusp of Exposure, Leo/Virgo, and I, also a cusp sign, the Cusp of Beauty, Virgo/Libra. She holds the Pride and Warmth of the lion, with the Beauty and Peacefulness of the Virgo. She loves her white and yellow florals, but not so much of the earthy patch and amber. I, however, am not too fond of strong white florals, but love airy and earthy smells. So this perfume is one we both can share and love because of the balance.

I love to wear it and be reminded of her warmth and maternal love. I remember my younger days when she was younger, always singing and dancing. Sunny and warm, calm but always laughing, but never bitter, like something she must have worn long ago before we met. Nostalgia.

Ellie Saab Intense retains hints of orange blossom and I smell what I think is jasmines sharpness underneath as well, but no overwhelming floral bouquet smell as with the original on my skin. The florals are buried underneath a perfect amber and honey mixture. It is slightly powdery, an earthy soil like powder smell, due to the patch.
It reminds me slightly of my D&G pour femme, probably due to the sweetness, and of of Prade ambre, with its lovely powder patch, except Ellie Saab did it better. She balanced it perfectly and it is by no means overwhelming.
Luminous, maternal, strong, gorgeous.

StellaDiverFlynn

Elie Saab Le Parfum Intense retains the sensual orange blossom of the original Le Parfum, thus upon a first spray, I thought that these two versions gave out a similar aura. However, compared side by side, there is indeed difference between these two versions, as the original is much more radiant with juicy jasmine petals, while the Intense version is essentially a powdery sweet amber, spiced up by a touch of earthy patchouli and tempered by luscious honey and orange blossoms.

The sillage of Le Parfum Intense is moderate and the longevity is around 10 hours on me. I find the comparison of the lights of midday and dusk described in the ad campaign is actually very apt. While the original Le Parfum is more luminous, the Intense version is more intimate and deeper. If you love the sensual touch of the original Elie Saab Le Parfum, but find the white flowers too bright or too heady, I'd recommend trying the Intense version.

alexandra.m

I fell in love with it in the very instant I tried it. It seemed feminine, sensual, bright, in a very sophisticated way; long lasting and strong, yet light in the same time. I didn't want to purchase another fragrance, but I couldn't resist it. Hoewever, once I got it... I didn't wear it, only a few times. I somehow don't seem to find the right time for it.. maybeit would suit a formal evening event, but for me it's not a fragrance to wear every day... a little too pretentious

Casaria

100% agree with ancaan too :) instantly fell in love the moment i tried this fragrance and it's longevity on me has left me thinking how will i ever wear any other fragrance again .. just BEAUTIFUL sophisticated femme & sexy ..so much so i would rather marry this perfume than any man :D

fragrantme

This is an absolute classic!
I had gone to buy the edp, but fell for this instead.
Elie Saab fragrances have a radiance, luminescence, which I find so alluring. They just envelope you softly and becomes part of you.
This one is tricky on me, giving different results on different days.A great perfume should be always like this, I guess. Behaving like a true woman, unpredictable and alluring.
Earlier, it was always magnificent orange blossom and warm honey mostly, later on I would get a hint of amber. I never got rose. it has amazing staying power, on me more than 24 hours. Till now, I used to think Pure Poison has the most staying power, but this one beats it .
Yesterday when I tried it on, the orange blossom and honey faded away quickly, in about 4 hours , and settled into the most glorious amber I have ever smelled. It was a lot warmer , maybe that's why.
The first time when I applied it, thinking this to be a demure middle eastern femme, I oversprayed, 4 spritz, and got an instant headache, even though it still smelled magnificent. Now I have come down to two spritz, which covers me for 24 hours!
This is my first honey fragrance, I was a bit skeptical about it, but it is just awesome!
In my opinion, worth the money. It is better to have a few classy scents than a shelf full of tacky ones!

Julie Billi

I totally agree with ancaan !
Very correctly put review!
I am in love with this elixir! Check out the Elie Saab's officicial site & perfumes presentations! I think they are magnificent!!

ancaan

When I buy a perfume, it's almost like a marriage proposal: I promise to love you, cherish you, let you complete me. I've hesitated few times before making this purchase, waiting for the right time to wear this fragrance. Today my decision came to an end. I'm finally in love with Elie Saab EDP intense and I regret nothing! This one is not for saggy jeans and a hoodie. It's for a mature and confident woman, strong and also romantic, who's not afraid to show her feminine and delicate side.

Mellyhelly

I had to try this version, too, of course. I never did because I was afraid it might be a real bomb like magnified EdP. Instead I got an ambery version, thick but close to the skin, where all notes are subdue and nothing screams out of 20cm. It looks like a syrupy brown liquid and one expects some kind of luscious elixir of oriental type infused with orange blossom.
It's vaguely like that but very tamed or maybe too concentrated so that it implodes?
No thick honey, no radiant orange blossom, everything is much more subtle but thick. Especially the typical radiance of Elie Saab line here is not present. It must be a exact choice of perfumer. So this edP Intense is all about ambery intimacy and wearing perfume for yourself. At least, on my skin it behaves like this.
I would say it smells very ladylike in an old-fashioned way. I will re-try for sure, because it intrigues me, even if not what I need going towards spring.
